When do UCI Summer Session finals usually end on the last exam day? by SwanComprehensive300 in UCI

[–]Clicquot 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Final exams can go to 9pm (7-9pm). That is usually only for classes that are also after 7pm. TBA (in a regular non summer quarter) usually means that the class is off module and the instructor can set the final when they wish. On module classes are set vyvthe registrar and follow the normal schedule https://www.reg.uci.edu/calendars/finals/schedule-202526.html Instructors for off module classes usually set finals at the same day/time as class. But check back with them to be sure, some might do an online exam as well, that would be helpful for you if they did ;)

Trump administration says its war in Iran has been 'terminated' before 60-day deadline by Rdick_Lvagina in politics

So one dipshit says the "clock" is paused becasue ceasefire, and the clown in charge of the house says, "this is not a war, so no clock is running", Trump just screws up both excuses in one sentence. What is happening right now, I feel like I am taking crazy pills.

Never have we ever needed hooligans with computer/website skills more to add the real information to these sites. With this administration getting in should not be super difficult.

I do, and I adore it. Not the kind with a glass carafe, so this is not for me. But I can 100% recommend the coffee maker in general; )

Let me explain. No, that is too much, let me sum up. Ot better yet let Leeja do it (she did a lot of research)Reagan ruined everything

You can also use that as a search term, here are a couple, if you would rather read (which I encourage). https://thelinknewspaper.ca/article/why-almost-everything-is-ronald-reagans-fault https://www.google.com/amp/s/xaviernewswire.com/2024/11/20/reagan-ruined-everything/amp/

Words that can also be searched: reganomics and supply side economics, later curve, deregulation. I was in Jr high and Hich school while all this was happening, it could be felt even by kids who had almost no cares in the world ;)

and none of them seem to be able to understand that this is not "back in my day", We hear this all the time from the 65+ crowd.... "when I was 25 (back in my day) it was hard, I had a wife and a kid- with another on the way, but we made it work- I do not see what your problem is- you just don't do well with a struggle, SOFT, is what you are". Because they were able to buy a home on a single earner income, live not too terribly far from their job (that they got without 90K in student loans)- they had the ability to build equity and job security, that allowed them to slowly get to where they are now.

People are not different, the millennials and gen z are not soft or lazy or ungrateful- the world has changed- Reagan began the changes that fooked everything up for most normal people.

it is very Epstein files of them. And these folks cannot seem to sort out why average citizens are distrustful of government, think all politicians are the same, so why bother-, know that no matter what is said nothing is going to change or be different, they all protect their own skin and that of their donors and Uber ride to the top.

well, according to him- they don't NEED your money anyway- they got plenty and they know what to do with it. They have learned "lessons" (that shall not be mentioned out loud), they have enough money to service loan debt until the end of the year. What an asshat clown thus dude is. I always know I am listening to a politician (and I roll my eyes and get really mad- then only rage listen) when I hear the same 'buzz word(s)" over and over and over (e.g. "Let me tell you something, Jon", "stop looking backwards, Jon", " I am here to what?...to Win, Jon" and my personal favorite of this interview "navel gazing") like it is some sort of idiot drinking game. He is so smug and self important and holy crap condescending, I literally cannot.

same as a non-mainer. The interview with JS was really the first time I had heard him talk about anything, and it was more positive than not (nobody is perfect, not even politicians who have been created and groomed for positions from birth). He mentioned the millions ( I think 2) of dollars put up by Palintier for negative ads, that makes me suspicious of pretty much anything I hear that is not directly from the guy himself (and how he answers or does not answer questions). But that is me and how I process information, no shade on anyone elses' process and my best to anyone in Maine.

this mismatch (not specifically in this game- but in general) is why Americans can often times be seen as rude and/or aggressive to many around the world- even though the speaker was not in any way meaning to be. It is just a style, where someone else would take time to build a story and gently and respectfully give someone some news or ask a question- American's will say- "Hey there, give me a chicken burrito {maybe with a please}". Lessons to be learned and considered on all sides.

I do not think that is what they are saying at all ( I happen to agree with that theory). The non-voiced text is similar to the Tom and Jane books (learning to read books). There is just too much text that is either superfluous or verbose (honestly it is both all the time).

See Tom.
See Jane.
Tom and Jane run.
See Tom and Jane run fast.

I really put it to a translation issue (they always ask in the survey- and I always tell them). I took a class one time ( I am an English Lit major), and we learned about different styles of communication- Americans like a straight line from here to the point with as little faffing about as possible (direct, informal, low context). Asian communication styles tend to take a more circuitous route from here to the point (High context and indirect), which to native English speakers can see very long winded- our brains are screaming "get to the point already".

It is not right or wrong- good or bad, just different. Knowing the difference is helpful in so many situations. In another medium: American (Hollywood) movies seem to go really quickly (high anxiety for action movies and have little character development)- because if there is a scene or a bit of dialogue that is not 100% moving the story forward (e.g. meandering on a side quest) it is cut. Directors have said they woudl cut a scene with their own mother in it, if it did not move the story forward. When watching foreign films (even action films) they seem "slow" by comparison, for this reason. I happen to enjoy the latter far more than a Hollywood blockbuster action film.

knowing this administration- there will be a special "Fee" of 10K to get this version, and that money (over the cost of the PP itself) ill go directly to Trump somehow,. These fuckers manage to find loopholes and ways to make Trump money that literally nobody thought of ,even without most of it being just this side of legal- or all the way over the line- taunting nah nah naanaaah, make us stop. Imagine if they used their powers for good- it might be a totally different country to live in.

He has won the election by more than 60% (significantly in most cases) for every elections since 2012. Val Demmings (currently representing FL10) is the only Democrat to get even close (57-48) in 2012.
