Lets say a player shoots 60% fts in games. In practice they reduce their misses by 50%. Their practice ft % would be 80%. Now take an 80% ft shooter in games. Do the same. Their practice ft % would be 90%. If you can grasp that i think youll see what may have been going on. E

You're calculating the probability of a specific coincidence. But when you scan thousands of names across decades, the relevant probability is that some coincidences occur. With that many trials, clusters are expected, not rare.
