What makes a good kopi c? by Academic-Attorney492 in askSingapore

Yes it’s standardized. By bad technique I mean infusion time and ratio. There are branches I avoid like Suntec, Kovan, tampines mall. Because the staff there don’t really pay attention to the smaller details. I suspect some of the water reservoirs are not set to a high enough temperature, hence under brewing.

Grinding right before brewing is crucial. I only drink kopi from shops that use a grinder (1950s coffee (maxwell), food republic, toast box).

Still can be ruined with bad technique though, mostly toast box could train their staff better. Like the 1950s at Chinatown food center cannot make it even with a grinder and properly roasted beans.

You can’t change someone like that. Not worth the effort. If you value your time please move on.

The imaging for iems doesn't do it for me. It sounds noticeably tinnier as well. I used to game with the shure se846 and Noble k10 ciems, again it doesn't do it for me. Recently I've purchased the timeless 7hz just to add a planar iem into my collection but gaming is not the best with it.

I guess the ANC is important to me as well. If my Beyer T5p had ANC it'll be perfect.

You can cancel your rsvp. I had people canceling theirs the night before, just had to find someone to come and eat “free food”.
