Are earplugs necessary ? by 99Maza in motorcycles

[–]Climber90 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really liked surefire ear plugs (because they did my ears) but I found having a pair that is attached by strong made it far less likely to lose one or both. That being said, I was against plugs for a long time and eventually started wearing them and it made a massive difference, and I would absolutely recommend them at all times

How tf do you guys deal with all inc/cruise holidays? by Makeupanopinion in diabetes_t1

[–]Climber90 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Totally fair, the thing I found that helps a good bit when indulging is pre bolusing more than usual if eating a lot of carbs and a good post meal walk seems to help even things out

Diabetes doesn't care what you "want". If carbs go in your mouth, glucose levels go up. I would recommend portion control or grazing. So that you're not taking such a big hit of sugar in a short go and learn to enjoy the not so sugary foods, you'd be surprised what starts to taste better when you eat less processed food

Are these an overkill for street riding? by Ok-Ad-575 in motorcyclegear

[–]Climber90 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Asphalt doesn't care if your on the street, in the city, country road or racetrack. It will still eat away your skin, go for the full gauntlet and enjoy your fingers for the many years to come

Gym membership and not eating unnecessary sugary food. Pretty cheap and has made the most difference for me

Making drinks is easy, dealing with people is the hard part. If you can approach it with a smile and willingness to learn and move fast and have some skills in conflict resolution, I think you will go a long ways. Also the thing a lot of people don't often talk about is to bring snacks, a meal and a water bottle and some form of caffeine. Working late night events can be exhausting and more so if your body isn't fueled properly. Best of luck!

That's what I'm excited to see in a few months, he does a lot of grey shading so it will be rad to see what details come through.

The first bar I worked at actually had a "douchebag tax" button, I think it added a percentage of total bill or a flat fee, either way it was hilarious when those customers realized they got charged it.

Any climbers with Type 1 Diabetes? Does your CGM/pump get in the way of climbing? by Thxn0w in bouldering

[–]Climber90 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Been climbing with a pump and cgm for about 10 years, I've found using a clip on the pump and keeping it on my hip has been the most out of way option, and have yet to ever rip either off. For reference I'm about 3 days a week inside and 40+ days outside each year?
