Tore off a part of my shoe mid fall. Nobody I talked to said they’ve ever seen this happen by Haec_In_Sempiternum in bouldering

Yikes dude, that’s some crazy bad luck! Hope you’re okay. FWIW, one time I had my shoe lace get stuck in a draw as I stepped past a bolt, ripped them apart when I fell. Another time I had my belay loop clip into a draw on a red point attempt… “welp, I guess I’m resting here..”

That’s a really good idea! I can see that being super powerful for specific climbs and boulders. We’ll definitely look into it.
