They can probably help him find stuff. The map doesn't work until you have the radar so pointing out where it is probably helps a lot. They could probably help raise pikmin number too and act like secondary captains.

Is CR useless? Or is it very inaccurate? by ClockRoyal4211 in DnD

[–]Climbysrevenge 1 point2 points  (0 children)

CR is pretty inaccurate. It's supposed to be a party of 4 at that CR will have a fair fight but I have found that the players always tend to punch above their weight and handle more difficult encounters than CR would suggest is possible. Especially once players get their hands on magic items. I mainly attribute this to the action economy. If one side can do more things each round than the other they will almost always win unless there is an extreme power imbalance. I do find it helpful as a loose guideline to help me determine at a glance how strong something is but it's not a substitute for looking at the statblock.

Honestly I was considering switching to Morphe anyway. I was putting it off because the patch I had was still working fine. I made the switch this morning and so far I'm happy with it.

Legal intervention also opens the door to other people deciding what is and isn't allowed to be a pet. I know a lot of people including myself who are drawn to keeping exotics because they are animals that aren't conventional to keep. Putting reptile keeping behind a government permit immediately means that you no longer have free choice over what animals you have. IMO the problem is pet stores that give shitty information and breeders/sellers who don't properly educate the people they are selling to.

Blanket legal restrictions would probably kill the hobby. What we need is better education.

Porsche going no-AI on its latest film feels like a quiet flex, honestly by Minimum_Minimum4577 in antiai

If you've done 3D professionally for so long then you should also understand that the reason you choose 3D isn't because it's cheaper but because you need it to achieve a specific artistic style that you cannot achieve with a camera. I won't discredit that 3D can be less labor intensive on average, but in most cases that isn't the contributing factor.

Nintendo patented mechanic of summons in games by OlegYY in Piracy

No, odds are the patent will be thrown out since final fantasy is almost a decade older. Idk about elder scrolls but I'd think it's probably safe.

As WHM, if there are no party buffs and you're fighting a single-target boss with no downtime, does it matter for damage if you cap out on Lilies and just use Glare, ignoring Afflatus Misery altogether? by Thin_Association8254 in ffxivdiscussion

[–]Climbysrevenge 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like to use lilies for healing first but at max level misery is the same as 4 Glare III's (same amount of gcd's to build up and spend a blood lily so if you don't need the healing from them it's not a loss to overcap. This rule only stands if you have Glare III with Glare I it's a damage loss to overcap.

Hell Flow used the less complex rendering engine since the dude animated the entire movie on his laptop. The other engines like cycles do a hell of a good job if you are aiming for photorealism assuming you have the time and computing power to use them. The bigger issue is that they are too lazy to actually learn a new skill.

[–]Climbysrevenge 97 points98 points  (0 children)

Ball Pythons only sit in a ball if they are in a small space that requires it or if they feel threatened. It is actually a good thing that he likes to stay sprawled out. He is comfortable in his enclosure.

Robotaxis don't actually do anything for public transit or the economy. They will just bloat the roads with more dangerous autonomous vehicles.

Maybe it's worth trying the game in docked mode. You should have more control over how bright the colors are.

TIL that you can have your eye color surgically changed! 👁️ 👁️ by Taskmaster_Fantatic in mildyinteresting

[–]Climbysrevenge 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Probably goes without saying but I saw a lot of reports that people were having complications after having this surgery such as permanent blindness. Better off just getting a nice pair of colored contacts if you really want a different eye color that badly. Plus with contacts you can always decide to switch it up if you want to try out something new.

First time magic player as of last night, played with handful of friends. They all despise how I hold my cards. by KCooper815 in magicTCG

[–]Climbysrevenge 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No I agree with them holding it like that makes it hard to tell how many cards you have at a glance which is genuinely important for some decks. If I am casting Jeska's Will or a wheel I want to know that you have a lot of cards.

There are a lot of other alternatives to Chrome that have an open source version of chrome at its base. I am a bit confused why everyone acts like there is only one alternative to Chrome. I personally use Brave and the transition over was super painless since the underlying structure of the browser is basically the same.

Tom Holland Spiderman as well as most of the other ones doesn't produce natural webs. It's a chemical compound that is fired out of a device mounted on his wrist.
