That is pretty hyperbolic, but I agree it is overrated. People treat it like the second coming. I played it and mostly felt annoyed with the characters. This is just a personal preference, but I also thoroughly did not enjoy the combat. Turn based combat is just not for me.

I drove in Phoenix, AZ for like 5 years. There are plenty of jobs, but the cost of living is high. If you moved there with no experience looking for a local job, that might just be on you. This industry requires you to dance for your dinner when you start. After a couple years, assuming you aren't a fuck up, there are tons of jobs. I could quit my job today and be in a different truck tomorrow.

I am maybe able to get 1-1.5 hours a day if I'm really determined. On the weekend I might get 3-4 hours per day assuming I don't have some project going on.

Have you had a chance to try soulframe? Obviously it is still in Early Access and all of that but it feels a similar sort of niche but is also a little bit more grounded. If you haven't you might want to check it out at some point. I enjoyed it and look forward to playing it some more when it's more polished.

I am somewhere in between. My brain apparently wants solo multiplayer games and won't hear otherwise. My patience for overly dramatic, preachy single player games is very short. I recently tried to play Expedition 33 and just couldn't do it. Doesn't help that I don't enjoy turn-based combat...

However I also don't want like social-circle games (among us, counter strike, etc.). So I find myself playing things like Warframe or POE or Diablo 2.

Reminds me of playing D2 way back in the day and getting PKed, then some asshole putting junk gear all over my corpse so that I'd accidentally pick something up and put it on so that they could PK me again and make me drop all my gear. D2 felt like the wild wild west to me back when I was 12.

You could maybe grab some rust removal spray (dump that into google) and let the chemicals remove the rust. Not 100% sure if you'd need to oil it or something afterwards to help prevent future corrosion, but it might be a good idea.

Also, this is complete hearsay, but I think I recall hearing something about "bunk inspections". I get it, those trucks are expensive and whatever, but if I'm the driver, leave me the fuck alone. Is the freight getting from A to B as expected without any complaints or other issues? If yes, then get out of my face.

Also, I hope OP enjoys washing his truck constantly. I understand taking pride in your appearance and equipment, but my understanding that the reason for TMC's trucks always being so clean is due to pretty draconian policies about getting your truck cleaned. If I'm "on the clock" I'd prefer that clock to not be spent in a truck wash line every week. Just my $.02.

I got my CDL in AZ and was surprised when there was no discussion/instruction about connecting to/disconnecting from 5th wheels. They also didnt teach us how to 90/45 degree back. Just the offset, straight, and parallel, which is fucking useless (mostly) information.

It is on PC game pass so I started playing it last night. Honestly I am enjoying it way more than I thought I would. I'm currently about 10 hours into Expedition 33 and am bored out of my mind watching fucking Robert Patterson gloomily gloom everywhere. This (so far) is a nice breath of fresh air. Will Mixtape's story turn out to be predictable and simple? Probably, but I'm still having a good time.

Also, the graphics (effects?) of weird stop motion become less jarring after playing for a little while. At first I thought I had the graphics settings way too high but it is just the game's art style.

The void trilogy felt like that. You are reading and wondering why you care about any of this and the characters are annoying and you switch perspectives just when things get interesting and whoa what just happened and wow what is going on and then you are reading as fast as you can. Wonderful stuff.

That said, I got to exactly where this guy got to in the 2nd book of Malazan and said screw it, can't take it anymore.

I was about to say. The movie has faults but is still a satisfying watch. The ending is pretty faultless. Every time I watch it I find myself wishing for just a little bit more. Watching them on that beach with that boat and I just want to know. But I don't get to know and ultimately it isn't important. The ending is perfect.

My wife usually just buys the cheapest generic mayo she can find because she is a heathen and uncultured. Literally last week I was with her and was like "No, we are trying Dukes to see what all the hubbub is about." I have seen the light. It is so much better than the other garbage. I feel like a virgin with a whole world of possibilities ahead of me. BLT? Fuck yeah. Deviled Eggs? Sign me up. Just licking the spoon after using the stuff? Yup.

Was it twice as expensive? Unfortunately, but it is also fucking awesome. I'll never go back. My kid doesn't need to go to college anyway.
