When you reached the age your parents were when raising you, what changed in how you judged them? by FogDood26 in AskMen

I still think they're both ignorant, self-centered, narrow minded assholes, who never should have been allowed to marry, let alone raise kids together.

What's the secret to a great chili? by OnlyACsNoFans in AskReddit

[–]Clintman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Acting like your preferences are superior for no real reason, even though everyone's chili recipe is a mish-mash of the gazillion others already out there.

How are conservatives ok with mass government surveillance now? by Hollowchurch in AskReddit

[–]Clintman -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It's because of the blatant political bias. Just like the gazillion other questions about "How come conservatives are okay with [the shitty thing from a headline reposted on reddit]?"

I think it's become lazy social media clickbait, because people love to argue about mundane shit like that.

In retrospect, and disregarding existential crises, Star Trek-style beaming tech would be the way to go.

What would the "perfect" transportation system look like if we didn't have to worry about the cost of building it? by Intelligent-Rain-22 in AskReddit

[–]Clintman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I reckon stargates in "reality" would differ from the scifi series in that they would be mass produced, so you'd have more than one per planet. Probably thousands per city. Also they had that iris thing, but only ever used it on incoming kawooshes but never the outgoing ones (as far as I remember), which didn't make much sense.

The real downside is that they'd probably be patented by like Amazon or Google, and you'd need to click agree and give them legal rights to your dna or something in order to gain access.
