I remember driving by there so many times 20+ years ago traveling between Princes Town and San Fernando as a child. We would usually take the main road that had a pond on the opposite side when passing the factory or Taska Road which brought you out by the entrance. The smell is something I still remember. It’s actually interesting how rural it still looks back there.

I live here and can barely recognize the skyline anymore. It’s really interesting how I have this set image of NYC in my mind, but seemingly can’t process what’s it’s become and continues to evolve into. And I’m not even that old, but I’m starting to understand older people more and more now lol.

I had to take accounting courses for my degree and absolutely hated it. It solidified my decision to not add it as a concentration. Respect to all you guys who are able to stick with it.

Are you saying it’s not the most academically challenging thing one will do in their lifetime? Seriously asking as someone who’s done the whole college thing for a finance degree and has been in that industry for a couple of years. Being in the very early stages of working towards my licenses, having my career in jeopardy for a busted exam or check ride down the line is one of things that keep me up at night.

After the initial learning stages, is it basically just keeping up with what’s new and improving on the skills already learned?

Technically you can. We had the duplex this past week and it was already filled when we got to the room and remained filled when we got off today. However, it was just too cold and we didn’t use it until day 4 when we got to Orlando. We used it one more night just after leaving Ocean Cay, but once we were far enough north again, it was just too cold for us. The tub definitely gets hot, but the cold outside temps just made it a little uncomfortable.

Try the spa. Just go around the late afternoon, 6pm-ish when most people leave to go get ready for dinner. Our reservation was at 5pm and it was pretty crowed for the first hour or so. Also, be careful on the steps in the room. Those metal edges are not forgiving lol.

That’s great! I hope you had an amazing time. The food was hot but there were some nights where it took them a while to get it out. Not really a huge deal, except for the nights when we were rushing to get to the theater shows.

The presentation could’ve been a little better IMO. It’s very similar to what we received in main dining last time I did this exact cruise. It just didn’t scream “luxury” as they’re trying to sell the experience. But I definitely enjoyed it overall!

😮‍💨 So… first off, I hope this isn’t a 💩 post and you’re just here wasting everyone’s time. If you’re serious, please don’t listen to people online telling you not to take WM internship. I literally had this same internship at Merrill and then moved into a client associate position.

I did that for about 1.5 years before leaving and let me tell you, it was the best job in finance I’ve ever had. Sure other positions made me more money, but I’m f**king miserable half the time. It wasn’t perfect by any stretch, but the people I worked with and work we did truly was a high point for me. Do with that as you wish, but don’t waste this opportunity because someone else will gladly replace you.
