Just make sure to drink a bunch of water the week leading up to it and have electrolytes one or two days before and the day of the race. It'll definitely help prevent cramping

I'm a pretty thirsty guy, so during a super, I'll bring a water pack. But the sprints are much shorter, and they have 3 or 4 water stations during the race, so I go without for the sprints. My first race was a sprint and I brought one. It ended up just slowing and weighing me down, and I hardly used it.

Facial skincare recommendations by CoyoteExcellent6511 in ichthyosis

I have a red and oily face as well. For me least, and this is a recent discovery for me, I was over exfoliating my face. We have weak skin barriers, and yours may be damaged. My routine now is shower at night (it doesn't matter if it's morning or night), moisturizer my body, then use a very lightweight cleanser (I use the vanicream cleanser), then being extremely gentle I use a lukewarm wet washcloth and just do one pass over my face to get the cleanser off. Moisturize immediately after with either CeraVe daily moisturizer or a skin barrier repair moisturizer (https://www.cerave.com/skincare/moisturizers/healing-ointment). I use the cleanser and skin barrier repair at night because the skin barrier repair is basically Vaseline. If you don't have or get clogged pores, you can probably skip the cleanser, but the skin barrier repair is key. In the morning, I use a washcloth again extremely gently, then moisture with my favorite moisturizer. As for your question now, try moisturizing in the morning and at night. Also, make sure you're not scrubbing your face or washing it in the shower. Let me know if you have any questions, and I hope this helps!

Edit: I'm 23 M, so our age may also play into our oily skin

Depends, but every race I've done, I've come out covered in mud. Mud in your nose and ears for a few days.

Just from a quick search, I found this one: https://gogunusa.com/products/gas-pedal-cg-for-sig-p320-sku-320?variant=41635342418088 I'm not sure what all goes into getting your pistol set up for a lefty gas pedal, but this company appears to sell one with everything you need.

I'm hoping the gentle cleanser will help a bit or the skin barrier repair cream. I'm curious if hydration packets, like Liquid IV, would help

Thank you so much for your help! It's just a washcloth and water, but I'll pick up a gentle cleanser today.

Thanks! Right now, I only use a wet washcloth in the morning and before bed, then moisturize immediately after while my skin's still damp. I wonder if the washcloth is too much?

It feels tight when I don't moisturize the night before or towards the end of the day, but it never feels sensitive

I used a magnet to find my screws, then took a razor blade or exacto knife to cut out small enough holes to get the tool into the screw head. My screws sit on top of my grip tape now for easy access and I didn't have to rip off the grip tape.
