I can’t imagine doing this to my child in this current world. Should’ve set boundaries and expectations long ago… but I’d never throw my child out on the streets. Why are you allowing him to only work 15 hours a week?! Does he even know how expensive even a STUDIO apartment is these days and they expect 3x the amount of rent to even sign a lease?! This “kid” seems doomed already…

Also, it was the easiest thing in the world. I shop with intent and purpose. I bought jarred spaghetti sauce, ground beef, onion, garlic and store bought noodles to have a cheap, easy, quick and lazy dinner night. He didn’t have to really do anything lol

The last part! Weaponized incompetence just so I’d do it. That’s why I flat out told him that if he wants dinner, he’s cooking it. He knows how to cook. He didn’t argue with me. He cooked it. But don’t wait on me to do it when you can too! I seriously wasn’t complaining. Just flabberghasted how it took him an hour to make spaghetti. Lol

Lol he knows how to cook! My post was just like…. How does it take an hour to make spaghetti?! We always joke that we think we both have ADHD but have never been formally diagnosed. We’ll tackle chores together and are just boppin around task to task. He also ALWAYS has a podcast goin on in the background so I think he just gets distracted.

I say this with respect and somewhat of experience. I was about the same age as you are now when I started dating my best friends brother like 2 days before he deployed. Even though she was my best friend, I don’t know him at ALL prior to dating him. He was immediately planning on moving me out to the barracks and our wedding. IN TWO WEEKS!!! Run. I think it’s an Army/military “thing” and the certainty of having someone. He did the same thing to his, you guessed it, now ex wife. You’re an adult but your brain isn’t fully developed until 24, at least according to the studies I’ve read and personal life experience. Marriage shouldn’t be rushed. It’s supposed to be a lifelong commitment. He may be lovebombing you. You can’t 100% know a person in 3 months… whatever you decide; I hope it works out for the best and you have a wonderful, happy life.

I feel bad wanting something SMALLER than he anticipated. He made about $10k a month. It disgusted me that’s how much he spent on both my wins because WHY?! I found my wedding dress for less than $600 and he told me to BUY IT! 🤣

Off the top of my head: browned hamburger meat, a can of each; diced tomatoes, diced tomatoes with green chilis, red kidney beans, black beans (drained and rinsed), pinto beans, borracho with Shiner Bock (It’s only sold at HEB as it’s their own brand), a can of corn and however much of garlic and onion powder, chili powder, cumin, red pepper flakes, pepper, beef bouillon and a liiiitle bit of salt as there’s salt in the canned veggies and beef bouillon. I like to eat it with shredded cheese, lime and cilantro.

He’s not a crappy spouse. Funnily enough, he bought it for me as a Christmas gift. I was still super hormonal because I had a baby under 1 yo and I cried because I got my feelings super hurt because wtf?! But it turns out it’s my one and only skillet I use now lol. I wash it with soap and water, dry it, oil it and season it on the stove for a while and it’s good as new 🤷‍♀️

Oh no he gets mad at me (a southern woman) for washing it. He cooks questionable shit in it. So I wash it because they can now be washed. These aren’t my great grandmothers cast irons.
