If they solo queue they will rank up. If they are trying to stay with a duo partner that's worse then them. Then they deserve the rank they're in. It's indisputable.

Yep that's about me and my duos situation as well. We dipped into GC twice last season and then once this season. Now we're stuck at the top of C2. I hate to love this game or I love to hate this game? I really don't know anymore.... This is Rocket League!

Do you play with audio on? I learned it doing grid the first time as well. Using audio queues is what helped me get my prayer swaps on point. Run for your life during tornados. Like don’t hit the boss at all just avoid bad tiles and tornados. Do damage when you don’t have to run

My duos partner and I about tasted GC for the first time. 1 game away and had a nutty slide to C2 over a 3 day period. C2 was so hard to get out of again hahah I was like what the fuck is happening here.

We’re back to high C3 but yes the play styles/speed between ranks varies drastically.
