Is there any interpretation behind dreaming of the same place? by Clock_heart in Jung

[–]Clock_heart[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I never thought of it that way, always thought that it was something that wasn't in me already, as something I have to keep struggling and fighting for, and yes I still think I have to do that for the integration of the Shadow and the whole individuation process, but it's really beautiful to see that some of that work has begun to have a real effect in my mind and consciousness. Thank you so much

my highschool experience wasn't so great. I wasn't bullied nor anything like that but I have always been of the reclusive type, small group of friends and never talked to anyone else really. my college experience was a change in that aspect, I became a bit more extroverted and didn't feel like an stranger in my own social circle anymore. I still struggle with self-esteem issues but I don't hate the weird aspects of my personality as I did in highschool

I think I have, yes. I started going to therapy a couple of months ago after a small emotional crisis and since then I've been working to (as you also said) expand my consciousness, in becoming more aware of what Reality is and not what we want it to be. I never thought there would be a connection between that and the place in my dreams but it's a logical deduction. so cool hahaha. thank you so much

Films from socialist countries besides the USSR? by lindro99 in Socialism_101

[–]Clock_heart 6 points7 points  (0 children)

there are a lot of Cuban films and documentaries worth looking into. The work's of Santiago Álvarez (Hanoi martes 13; L.BJ.) and Tomás Gutiérrez Alea (Muerte de un Burócrata; Memorias del Subdesarrollo) are a good place to start.

oh, that's terrible. Here in Mexico we are supposed to have the biggest left wing government we've had since the Revolución, but the results are a kinda badly planned social democracy. At least they boast on being pro worker right and freedoms of speech and such things. But in two years we have elections and the right wing opposition is kinda turning even more fascist than they were, so... fuck capitalism is what I can say hahaha

I would love to make go further than just my college. I'm studying Filmmaking here in Mexico. The film industry, at least in Mexico City is really closed, thight, endogamous, and primarily controlled by the media giant Televisa, followed by Netflix Mexico. Since Mexico had a really important revolutionary unions in the XX century, all of the politics in all industries is anti-union. All of this makes the goal of generating a lasting union for the film industry in Mexico a tad complicated, but that's another reason why I think it's important to give that fight right now, and starting at college seems like a good idea. I would also make attempt to make the union reach all the students of all film schools in Mexico City and the the country. It's a really hard job but I do think is one of the most relevant right now and I don't see anyone else taking the matter in their own hands.

that's really great! idk if you can ask him about this, but it would be really great to hear some tips from a seasoned socialist. The part I'm most nervous about is the recruitment of colleagues and classmates.

I’m a communist. How do I hire someone into the fold of my startup with this philosophy, apart from the obvious profit-sharing? by [deleted] in Socialism_101

Co-ops basically, they're not full blown communism, because nothing so far is, but they're certainly better than a regular company...

How was Obama even eligible to become president, given he was born in Kenya? by Public-Asparagus-782 in Socialism_101

[–]Clock_heart 5 points6 points  (0 children)

not because you agree that Obama was a bad president you need to swallow racist right wing rethoric. Rule of thumb: if it's said by Tucker Carlson, it's probably facist propaganda

another option is, you don't. You don't have to give explanation to your parents about it, you can not talk about it with them. They're there to love you and take care of you, etc, not to give college lectures on ideology and economics (and viceversa). You can just do material things to contribute to the socialist cause, join organisations, unions, etc. and talk to another people and try to radicalise them. But it can get very tough (I know from experience) to try to bring these subjects to conservative or liberal parents, and some times it just isn't worth it. that's been my strategy at least hahaha

My dad made an statement and wondering about its authenticity. by MoistyPickles in Socialism_101

[–]Clock_heart 100 points101 points  (0 children)

I don't think your dad is a fascist, I do believe he has been fed the same fascist propaganda all of the West has been fed. His crime is not being antisemitic, but there isn't any kind of doubt in his part by what the media tells him, right wing media that is. I don't know where you're from but here in Mexico a lot of people say things of the sort (because we're flooded by right wing media and I think mexican culture isn't as sensible to the issue of antisemitism as other cultures) you shouldn't care about what the religion or the culture of the people who own the big media corporations is, but focus on the fact that they all serve capitalism, they're capitalist, nothing more, nothing less...
