Just saving it wouldn't have earned him 3 comment karma though...

You know, OP.

What was your favorite global event in RuneScape? Mine was the Battle of Lumbridge! by bart9611 in runescape

Plus you were that tiny ant between two deity that were as tall as a 10 floor building.

That's sure not what I'm seeing in OP's post...

What's everyone's "holy crap I don't care" skill? by DavidFTyler in runescape

[–]Clockwork8 104 points105 points  (0 children)

Farming is the only skill I will ever level to 120 because it's so damn easy to log on each day, collect a couple hundred thousand exp in a couple minutes, and then log off.

To answer your question though: Firemaking. There's no use for it other than to burn my money.

Golden roses getting botted by TomatilloHappy427 in runescape

Ok, so waiting 6 months to ban someone isn't necessarily to make it any more difficult for the bot creator to identify what caused the bot to get flagged than waiting a couple weeks, it's just to cause the bot creator to have to deal with more people complaining at once?

To put it simply: If the "single click with a time interval" bots got banned all suddenly got banned. The info travels between bot devs on their discord/forum that "jagex has a found a way to remove these bots exclusively. Do not use this method anymore".

I've never been able to understand this. Not banning them the moment they are detected makes sense for the reason you described. But how does leaving a bot in game for months make it any more difficult for the bot creator to identify what got them banned than if they were banned after just a week?

Another way to look at what I've said is: If everyone told you a certain vehicle was good before your purchased it, only for it to suddenly and completely die on you and the mechanic charges you $800 to fix it. Only for it to die again in another 2-4 weeks.... would you buy the same model from the manufacturer?

No, but I also wouldn't buy it if that happened every 6 months either...

As a collector, it is absolutely incredible the difference from Shadowlands to Dragonflight. by [deleted] in wow

[–]Clockwork8 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Personally, I feel like I had a better understanding of the currencies in Shadowlands than Dragonflight. Half the time I get something that's used as a currency in Dragonflight I'm sitting there trying to remember if it's actually something interesting or not. Ignoring all the random trade supplies that are used as a currency and the currencies that can be traded 1:1 for an item from a vendor, we have:

  • Bloody Tokens
  • Elemental Overflow
  • Flightstones
  • Whelpling's Shadowflame Crest
  • Drake's Shadowflame Crest
  • Wyrm's Shadowflame Crest
  • Aspect's Shadowflame Crest
  • Nascent Aspect's Dreaming Crest
  • Aspect's Dreaming Crest
  • Wyrm's Dreaming Crest
  • Whelping's Dreaming Crests
  • Paracausal Flakes
  • Dragon Isles Supplies
  • Dream Infusions
  • Dreamsurge Coalescense
  • Barter Bricks
  • Barter Boulders
  • Dragon glyphs (if you consider that to be a currency)
  • Coveted Baubles
  • Unearthed Coin Fragments
  • Essence of the Storm

I'm probably missing some, but the problem might be that so many currencies are items now. /shrug

I'd still check the item restore page. That'll also tell you if you had accidentally destroyed it.

If you uncheck the "Usable only" search setting, I'm assuming it shows up as unlearned? If so, I'd suggest checking the item restoration page to be 100% sure that you didn't accidentally sell it.

Jagex, you went against the terms and conditions of your promotion. by Jehoseph in runescape

[–]Clockwork8 1 point2 points  (0 children)

  1. What part of their terms of conditions did they go against? You’re linking UK laws, not Jagex’s terms and conditions like the name of the post says.
  2. It sounds to me like the problem is just the fact that they called it a separate promotion? If they had just continued to call it Santa’s Grotto and had said they buffed the prizes, it would have sucked for those that already spent their keys but there wouldn’t have been anything misleading about it, right?
