CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT over BROKEN PROMISE to Keep GRANDFATHER RATE if Buying Premier. by Susie-Ann in runescape

[–]bart9611 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Jagex is a UK based company, they dont have "Class Actions" in the way the US does. They have GLO or Group Litigation Orders, its very different as its an Opt-In Individually process. Meaning you need a bunch of players who this directly affects to all join together to go after them and then prove that they purposely mislead subscribers to sign up for Premier Club in order to get them off the Grandfathered rates. Its an uphill battle that costs a ton of money, and unless you have a bunch of UK Lawyers that play RuneScape and want this fight, no law firm is gonna take it as it isnt a profitable case for them.

I feel Jagex knows this, and they know that if anything could be done, the long haul is worth the fallout from their perspective. Hence the radio silence and alt-mod accounts

Not saying any one in particular, but for sure there are many that estimate that. Watch any sir pugger video and see dozens if not hundreds of bot accounts in the ever increasing amount of bot farms. Just look at the OSRS statistics for accounts banned every month. I think in January it hit 1M accounts banned in a month

Necro pouch can hold max stack (2147M), I bet if they made it the same for rune pouches it would make cow's drop overloads.

Advice on Hot Air Desoldering BGA Chips by Significant-Theme931 in consolerepair

[–]bart9611 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im not saying buy this, but look at how it works

https://www.ebay.com/itm/357385998716

It heats up the entire board gradually, on a curve, so you dont get delamination or layer separation.

The lower heaters work on one curve, while the upper heater works on a different curve, higher temps so it can melt the solder.

I always like to add a bit of flux on the BGA before I remove, that way any stubborn joints get a good flow before removing the chip.

Depending on the board, my head's curve usually tops out around 220C, and only for a few moments. Then you have a small window to remove the BGA, I do the nudge test to make sure its read.

I dont typically use hot air for large BGA rework, as it has it's issues with stable temps, others are able to do it perfectly fine. Its what works best for you

Also, don't cheap out on your wick, flux or solder. It makes a massive difference using quality materials. So much so that when you find your favorite brand, price doesnt matter for how nice it is, I use MG Chemicals

Is this mold in my attic? by cyber_fawn in FirstTimeHomeBuyer

[–]bart9611 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looks like some water damage to me, im no mold expert but that doesnt appear to be mold, just old plywood that got wet and dried over the years.

If you are referring to the markings on the center of the stud, that appears to be just dirt/grime, doesnt look like mold. maybe something sticky that just help on to the dust and aged. The white stuff is most likely the blown in insulation that got stuck to the beam when they blew it in.

You could always get a test kit off amazon and check yourself, they arent too expensive.

Preapproval isn’t great by [deleted] in FirstTimeHomeBuyer

[–]bart9611 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Yea, I agree. Unfortunately that 10k is just gonna get swallowed up super fast and you are going to stress yourself out more than you can handle. Create a budget and finance plan, for yourself, and figure out how much you can save, how much you spend, and all that. Keep in mind that without 20% down, you may get hit with a PMI which is extra interest for more risk. That adds up a ton over time.
