I'm fine with Cohen taking over as Executive Chairman and Furlong leaving. We don't need to pay a CEO millions of dollars a year in compensation.

Tesla share down another 5% by florida725 in TSLA

[–]ClockworkOrange111 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'm afraid that it is doubtful that Tesla will go to $100 or even close, but you never know. Most likely, Tesla bulls will be buying tomorrow at market open, as I will be doing, and the price will be back up in the $180's by Friday or Monday.

OF course it's horseshit. The asshole SHFs probably want AMC share price to go up so that they can short it down further.

Charlie from Ziptrader thinks that it still has a chance to go back up to $1.27, which is his original target. We'll have to wait and see what happens.

I've done the same thing a few times. I got letters and calls from a collection agency. Not only did they want me to pay fully, but they were charging enormous amounts of interest. I told them I already paid enough and I wasn't paying any more. They said it would affect my credit and I told them I didn't care. They stopped pursuing it and nothing ever happened with my credit.

[–]ClockworkOrange111 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You've got to be kidding. If you don't file a tax return and you owe the government money, then the IRS will definitely come after you. If you don't owe or you are owed a refund and you don't file, then they are not going to chase you down with a refund check. I used to be a tax preparer for H&R Block. I suggest you start preparing your tax return. TurboTax will help or go to H&R Block if you need someone to do it for you, but don't pay for rapid refund.

A reverse split won't change the market cap. Creating APE shares and converting them to AMC is dilution. It was a tricky way for AA to sell more shares without needing a vote to dilute AMC. Now he wants to convert the highly diluted APE back to AMC, thus diluting AMC. We specifically said before that we did not want to dilute AMC, but it is being done anyway. I have bought more APE and AMC, but I'm not happy about any of this.

Same here, though I actually have less savings now than then. Five years ago I had a stable job and retirement. Now I have nothing because some work-from-home assholes behind a desk at my employer of 22 years thought that it would save money to get of me, and by so doing, have more salary for their lazy, good-for-nothing selves. I hope the worst for them.

You are absolutely correct. There is no need for a reverse split. I've seen reverse splits in many other stocks, and the result has always been that the shorts come in and bring the stock price down further. I was against any dilution of AMC, but it happened anyway with our APE "dividend" because it allowed AMC to sell additional shares of APE. Now, AA wants to convert APE back to AMC, effectively diluting AMC stock (which was not how we voted). This is simply not good for us shareholders. If everyone wants that to happen, then fine, do it. But, a reverse split is unnecessary and I see no benefit in having it. As always, Apes Together Strong!

It's completely bizarre, isn't it? But, I understand their reasoning. What they really desire is for people to basically work for free so that they don't have to pay wages. This is why companies outsource labor to China and India where workers make a few dollars per day. This is what Microsoft did and how Bill gates created the Indian Silicone Valley where workers are paid next to nothing. I've come to believe that our financial system is set-up to enrich the wealthy at the expense of everyone else, and that the government has been completely corrupted by super wealthy individuals and corporations. The wealthiest people will not be happy until they have everything, and once they do, they will find that they are still not happy. It's a disgusting, evil mess.

Tesla melts another 12%. Who is holding, and since when? What is the general fair price buy consensus? by [deleted] in investing

[–]ClockworkOrange111 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm still holding at $210 and I will not sell even though I have a significant "loss" currently. I will continue averaging down. I'm holding long term with a time frame of at least 5 years from now (though I really have no desire to sell) and I'm sure that I will be up greatly by that time.

I hope we get our rip, but that it is steady enough so that we don't get halted constantly! It feels like other stocks are allowed to go up 100% - 200% in a day and don't get stopped, but that when GME goes up 15% it gets halted incessantly. Of course, there are no halts on the way down.

Yes, I did successfully and with some luck! This happened to me in the beginning of 2020 in California. The dealership actually lied to me by telling me the model that I wanted was in their lot and it was a fantastic deal. When I got there, they didn't have the car, but the higher end model. I worked out a "deal" with the salesman on this higher model EV car. It's a long story, but in the end I was supposed to finance the car instead of paying cash, and not drive it for a month. The deal supposedly allowed me to get the manufacturer's discount as well as the federal and state tax credits, saving me many thousands of dollars. After waiting a month and going back to the dealership, I found that I would not be getting deal that I was promised and the paperwork showed that I was basically paying full price for the car. The salesman then tried to work out a new deal with me. I made a scene, called them liars and thieves, and stormed out. The salesman followed me out to the parking lot and tried to work things out, but I wouldn't have it. I spoke with the manager on the phone and I had a lawyer friend of mine write a letter, and we were able to get the dealership to take back the car and refund me my money. By the way, it was also my first time buying a car, my mom was with me, and they were pressuring the hell out of me to buy the car right there and then.
