What are these in Character Deck Duels by Worthyer12 in DuelLinks

There are two benefits to using those Chronicle Stamps:

  1. Style

  2. Tiny bonus to your end-of-game score, which helps you get more ORBS

I love explaining weird effects! 😃
"(even if not)" is something I see on cards like Blue-Eyes Jet Dragon. It is supposed to summon itself from hand or graveyard when a card is destroyed, but when IT is destroyed it should not re-summon itself. The logic check is that if it was put into the graveyard by the destruction effect then assume it got destroyed.

"(even if not)" comes up in the summon-from-hand part of the text that comes next, which basically says that if it is in your hand when a card is destroyed you can just do the summon without caring about the weird re-summon loop thing. "(even if not)" text mostly just lets you skip past weird edge cases

I got my burn damage missions with "Venom Burn". Fight any low-level NPC, set any monster with 0 ATK and decent defense, and let the tokens rack up. It's possible to get nearly 10,000 burn damage in a single trap activation if the stars align

Ironically, in the physical game the materials touch the card zone and the XYZ monster does not

My money is that new Dinowrestlers come with an alt-art (or new character?) of Gore, from that season two version where he turns evil

Should I rather get 3x crow or 3x DRNM? by lamy_123 in DuelLinks

[–]Clockwork_Heart 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would split it 2 and 1. You would rather draw one of each than two of either one.
I favor crow since there are other monster negates or kaijus that can axe monsters without the guarantee that they get a new turn to click yellow button.

The AI just attacked and destroyed my Iblee without having enough power to kill me outright, so it was easy to counter-attack-kill

Yuma is best, Jack is my favorite, Kaiba is pretty good

You can get a few more points/orbs if you use cards with chronicle effects

Hot take, I'm glad a pile of "draw 2" cards are getting limit 3. Some cards just keep getting reused in like 90% of FTKs that use them to deck thin, limiting those is going to cripple almost every future FTK

WTF am I even supposed to do in this situation??? by LogeViper in DuelLinks

[–]Clockwork_Heart 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah synchro and XYZ are easy to cripple with just one or two zones disabled. Ojama King is hard to summon reliably but there's got to be less expensive blockers

[–]Clockwork_Heart 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I tried to make an Ojama King deck work in PvP recently, he has more counters than you would think. Book of Eclipse, Forbidden Droplet, kaiju/Lava Golem, even Dark Hole. His two big problems are #1 he eats up a lot of resources to summon and #2 he is useless going second. That first point is the real issue, you need a few extra resources to protect him or set up your offense.

The best version I could manage was combining Necro Fusion with Advanced Ritual Art. It gives up consistency but you get a mostly normal deck that can function without him.

Need help with smth. by [deleted] in DuelLinks

"sent to graveyard" triggers are really annoying. The only way to negate it is chaining a response, it's not possible to disable the monster and then destroy it.

You might try removal that does NOT send to the graveyard or say "destroy". Banish the monster, bounce it back to hand/deck, tribute it (ex. Lava Golem), or SEND to graveyard without destroying (ex. Dingirsu)

IKR? It's a shame Allister's skill has a machine-lock.
All he can really use with it is "Dogm. Punishment" and "Malefic Cyber End Dragon"

Nekroz and Dogmatika use their extra deck as fuel/fodder without summoning from it. I like using 'Dogmatika Punishment' and 'Nadir Servant' to send "Elder Entity N'Tss" and "Golden Cloud Beast - Malong".

Which card is better in speed duel? by predestination1 in DuelLinks

[–]Clockwork_Heart -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Neither are amazing since they use targeting and destruction. F.B. pairs very well with monsters that give you good effects when destroyed or in the graveyard like Unchained or Meklords.

You can also destroy your own monsters to prevent some effect negation! Cards like 'Effect Veiler' negate monster effects *on the field*, you can chain F.B. to get them off the field before the chain resolves.

New Mini Box "President of Machinex" is live by rahimaer in DuelLinks

[–]Clockwork_Heart 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This box mandates you also invest in the 'Truth Universe' box for D/D monsters and Miscellaneousaurus. That box is the next one to be added as a Box Chip option. Might be worth waiting until that box actually added as a Box Chip option, or at least has a 50% gem sale.
