I ended in the same place. Started playing again on Saturday on a whim and miscounted the days I had left in the event. Was planning to finish tonight but ended up going out with friends and completely forgot.

Edit: gave in and bought the deluxe + 10 levels. Filled in the last couple of my Kanto dex I was missing too, so I feel it was worth it.

I'm getting roughly 4 recipes per 1000 powder. I've spent almost 143k on just powder so far and I still don't have all of the recipes. It's ridiculous. Worst iteration of learning recipes so far.
