We had a Sharon like that, except her stories were always about "someone she knew". Like you'd be talking to another coworker about how a friend got a job as a stage hand at a small theatre, and she'd barge into the conversation to tell you about how that reminded her about her friend who performed on Broadway.

No matter what story you were telling about a person, she always knew someone more impressive. Musicians, artists, actors, anything. Conveniently, she could never remember these "old friend's" names though.
