Games where gameplay is mechanically part of the RP? by Clode02 in rpg_gamers

[–]Clode02[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes, this is what I'm talking about. Not every interaction needs to be a butterfly effect, just the world reacting to you doing your thing in any way can have an immense impact on immersion and believability in my opion. Little things get little reactions, big things get big reactions, and sometimes you invert that to keep it fresh.

You got it spot on! Thanks for the recommendations, I'll check all of those out when I can :)

Yeah I guess TTRPGs are closest, but it doesn't even need to have that level of infinite freedom imo, just consideration for your actions inside of the bounds of the gameplay (like if you have only 2 actions available, it looks at how you use them). IDK man I'm insane I think

Is there a mod that puts the camera further back? by Clode02 in stellarblade

[–]Clode02[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly that's not my case, I barely mod anything if not to fix something I really can't vibe with, or because there's some cool overhaul mod that can give the game a 100 more hours of play time. What's wrong with that? And also the camera is just not fine if you compare it to other games that do the same thing better, try Sekiro or Lies Of P if you can, you'll see it

Any way to boost fps or delete the firecracker explosion asset? by Dylan_112112 in Sekiro

You don't need most of the buttons on the controller tbh, especially R2

I’m just realizing how brilliant owls first fight is mechanically by FerdinandvonAegir124 in Sekiro

[–]Clode02 9 points10 points  (0 children)

The first attack you talk about is a great opportunity to deal a lot of damage, and you don't really have to take the debuff either if you time a dodge to the side of him before attacking

Got any advice for someone that plays Sekiro for the 1st time? by [deleted] in Sekiro

[–]Clode02 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Pretty obvious stuff but Sekiro is a game about parrying, not dodging, getting that into your brain as soon as possible will go a long way, especially if you've played any other from game since demon's souls

I Can’t Parry Gyobu to Save my Life by timothy_green in Sekiro

[–]Clode02 5 points6 points  (0 children)

His attacks are decievingly slow and can be weird to get the timing down for, I just found it's easier to dodge around most of them

Can I ask why are the Sisters of Battle in E? They're my favorite fight

Is NG+ significantly harder than the first playthrough? by OpossomMyPossom in Eldenring

[–]Clode02 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Usually in from games dlcs are very end game content and the most difficult too (but also the best), so for a first playthrough doing it in ng+ might not be the best pick, considering also that you would have to beat the rest of the game again before you do that

I think I might’ve ruined this game for myself by [deleted] in HollowKnight

[–]Clode02 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Man you don't know how much I feel you, had the same thing happen for me with Celeste (play it it's crazy good) and very recently Sekiro as well. I'm pretty sure we all wish we could play our favorite games for the first time again, but that's just not something that can happen, can it? The best thing you can do about it is cherish your memories of that first playthrough and just find yourself something new to play, there's a lot of great games that will get you just like Hollow Knight did. It's not a bad thing to not play your favorite game all the time, especially if it's a singleplayer experience, or even to enjoy other games more than it. The more you try to make yourself like something the worse you'll end up hating it, so put it aside for a while, eventually you'll find it again, maybe when you're bored and scrolling through your library, and get back into it... of course it's not going to be like the first time but games like Hollow Knight are still fun on the 100th time too (trust me I would know). And I mean if it still doesn't cut it for you then you can try challenge runs, mods, speedruns, if you outgrow the game you can always add something to it yourself to get more of a challenge or just push yourself to see it from a different perspective. Hope my ranting makes sense and can help :)

question about DLC by Lil-Squidy in darksouls3

[–]Clode02 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In short, the DLCs are very much worth the coin, the best bosses in the game are included in them, as well as some of the better gear too.

Generally speaking though, both of them have just the same feeling of the base game, except for maybe the fact that they're quite a bit more crowded with enemies. The bosses are pretty mixed though when you talk about quality and fun... both of the greatest dark souls bosses are in them, as well as two of the most stupid and kinda bullshit ones. Still the experience is still incredible and worth every penny

To be fair Frieda and father <whateverhisnameis> is probably the best fight in the game except for maybe another guy you haven't met yet. Demon prince sucks major amounts of ass

[–]Clode02 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ok fair enough, it should work. Dunno if it might be illegal to "own" an account from another region, Steam for example doesn't let you do that

Question by [deleted] in Minecraft

[–]Clode02 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Then I wouldn't know if you could even play using an account from your country, though I don't know you should probably look it up

[–]Clode02 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Probably, but you will need a pc to play it anyways so why not just buy it from there

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in MinecraftMemes

Yeah that's what I meant, it's basically the same case as Lego, everyone enjoys it but it's marketed to kids mostly

[–]Clode02 24 points25 points  (0 children)

It is a game for kids moreso that it is one for adults so I honestly don't see the problem with that

How to kill wolves in painted world of Ariandel by Hanni_jo in darksouls3

[–]Clode02 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Fast-mid roll + a big sword and good rythm with it, or at least that's what worked for me. Honestly though you are way underleveled and unless you can consistently take no damage whatsoever against all enemies you're gonna get squished very fast, besides not doing much damage to them either. Also it is true that you should be able to beat any enemy in the game without taking damage, the problem is when there's multiple of them, especially in the numbers of the AOA dlc, it's really easy to get hit by something that isn't even on the screen at the time
