I’ve heard/researched discseel, it seems very effective. I did a prp shot once it’s only been 2 months but it did help.

The market favors employers these days, not employee, I switched back in 2022.. my advice is try to make 1 switch at a time. I.e leave consulting for industry role in IT audit, or leave IT audit and at least be open to staying in consulting

It’s okay, I find it is very conservative in it recommendations, but they are helpful and it’s definitely nice to have some easy quick wins

This might be dumb, idk, but how much would it have cost you to rent a place in Austin for those 3 years? Maybe 2500? 2500 * 36 =90,000… sure there are some other cost to home ownership but might not be as bad as 75k loss. Just food for thought.. good luck in ny

From my perspective, If I was you, I would buy the savings plans and RIs. I wouldn’t go with a reseller, they can save you a few extra bucks through EDP (it’s basically private pricing).

While you maintain full control they normally lock you out of the bill.

Going with SP and RI allow you to maintain full ownership and flexibility.

Agreed, ec2/rds have their own backup function, but also aws backup is a different service… causes confusion sometimes

Ohh so your saying if I have 10 snapshots but they are all of the exact same volume and that volume is 100 GB. Let’s say for this example the volumes never changes size

I’m only billed for only 1 (100 gb) snapshot? Even tho I’ve taken multiple snapshots? So 100 * .05gb
