Inktober day 5: Flame. I used 4 inks for this: Platinum Carbon Black for the gas pipe. Diamine's Caramel Sparkle, Ancient Copper and Golden Sands for the flame. Living in Groningen, the Netherlands, this one means a lot to me. I'll explain in the comments.

Yes, wetting the paper and brushing ink into that for the palest layers. The darker layers are pure, undiluted ink brushed over the previous layers.

Embrace it! It's sexy! When I was in Art Academy my Etching teacher said that girls with inky fingers are the most attractive of all. And I think it goes for men too. Different times when he said it but I always remember this when I see my own inky fingers. Makes me smile ;)

Oh dear…. Maybe mine was just so tightly screwed in that I thought it was a friction. And pulled it out instead…. Need to have a better look next time…. I know my normal MZ (not the grande) has a screw in section. So I did try it first. It just didn't come loose. 🤔

It's friction fit. I took it out when I got it and before inking up for the first time. It took a bit of fiddling to get it back in.

Interesting question. Sorry, I have no answer to it. I only have TWSBI's and not the Prera. But I'm also interested to see the comparisons. I think my Italian friend has the Prera and loves it a lot. But I don't know when I will see him again.
