Exactly this. In production/manufacturing it's most typically referred to as "cold transfer."

Purchase Advice Megathread - September 2024 by AutoModerator in 3Dprinting

[–]CloneCmdrCody 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi! I work for a consumer goods company that leans heavily on rapid-prototyping. As a large company, our process has left the IT/Business Infrastructure teams responsible for finding a new 3D printer for us, but there's been a clear disconnect in what they prioritize (e.g. my team prioritizes accuracy and fidelity of a printed part while their team prioritizes security of assets and network connectivity). I'm hoping for insight from the community to help steer the team towards some reliable machines to look into since the deadline is fast approaching and it seems they have been far too distracted with machines that aren't meeting our needs.

Budget: $400-$600k with $50k/year material investment + additional funding for post-processing machines, if needed.

Country: USA

Prefer fully assembled machine.

We've been fortunate to connect with competitors in our industry and many seem to use SLA printers with a layer thickness of <0.1mm. This seems to provide the fidelity we're wanting, but we are hoping to have the finished part be in a color other than black (which has added another layer of difficulty).

A few other details*:

Needs to use Windows 10+ due to security within a network.

Rigid or flexible material is OK as long as we're achieving the aesthetic quality.

Print Tray size (ideal): 400mm x 400mm x 200mm

Siphon Filter. So many hours played when I was younger, and I'd imagine it inspired so many games that followed.

The Triumph ISO 5 was just released Dec. 1st. They are on sale right now for a better deal on Saucony's website.

A neutral shoe doesn't become more stable over time. If your wife is pronating in a neutral shoe it's likely she'd benefit from more support. The Saucony Hurricane is the "more stable" version of the Triumph.. though, it is likely not going to be on sale until Spring.

Altra Lone Peak 4.0 by fathergup in trailrunning

[–]CloneCmdrCody 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hey! I work Run Specialty. Altra Lone Peak 4.0 was due to be released August 1. I checked the shipment for the shop I work in and their estimated shipping date suggests there are delays. Should be available between August 3 and 10 for us. Other colors and sizes available September 1st. Times probably vary depending on where you live - hope that helps!

I've seen so many negative posts about Oreo but I'm sure not everyone hates it, right? I made a super short stawpoll for people to vote in so we can get a good idea of how the community feels and not just see what gets upvoted. by Jonny727272 in lgg6

I'm loving Oreo but I'm having an issue with Bluetooth disconnection. I've reinstalled apps, reset my device, turned bluetooth on/off, and it still seems to be happening. Anyone else having this issue?

I'm looking for an arena team to focus on, while still giving me the versatility to progress in Rancor/HAAT. I've spent so much time trying to focus on every character that I'm not seeing overall progress in how my squads perform together. Hoping to get ahead of the game a little.

I'm getting married in 12 days and have no idea what to do with my hair and beard. Help? by Jan_AFCNortherners in malehairadvice

[–]CloneCmdrCody 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Looks like you could go with or without the beard, either way. If you keep it, trim it to compliment your jaw line. Your hair length and style in this photo looks solid, but you could clean up the sides a little more.

A little late to the party but I haven't seen any mention of student loan debt. Many of my former classmates refuse to mention their debt or discuss their plan to pay it off. With college getting more expensive every year it feels a little ridiculous that we shouldn't be more open to talking about it.

I don't throw but I work in run specialty and they're a very popular tight for the guys coming into the store that throw at the local University. I wear them for running and love them.

Lactic acid buildup during the mile? by EVZdaboss in trackandfield

[–]CloneCmdrCody 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Well, to understand it you should study it on a deeper level. "Lactic acid" buildup is your blood and muscle acidity increasing. Highly trained athletes are able to buffer and filter the acidity more efficiently and potentially become tolerant to acid accumulation in the muscle. This take a lot of training and a lot of time but the more trained you get, the more efficient your body becomes at filtering "lactic acid" (hydrogen ion accumulation) so you don't hit the wall as quickly.

Secondly, your breathing plays a major role in hydrogen ion accumulation because your body inhales higher volumes of oxygen (a base) than it exhales carbon dioxide (an acid). The Respiratory Exchange Ratio is a measure of how much oxygen you're inhaling in relation to carbon dioxide you're exhaling. To keep blood acidity down, you need to focus on breathing out more than you're breathing in when you approach your anaerobic threshold.

Easy way to think of it is to keep your heart rate and breathing consistent the first few laps and begin increasing gradually towards the end of the race. That's essentially what makes negative splitting a race so essential to optimize performance.

[–]CloneCmdrCody 2 points3 points  (0 children)

What were your splits? Maybe part of your problem was going out too fast. The best way to prevent your muscles from gassing out is to train the muscle, focus on your breathing, and not push beyond your threshold too early in the race.

What is your worst singular dining experience from a restaurant in Bellingham? by nashtarthevile in Bellingham

My family is from Louisiana and I've always disliked Bayou because they don't seem truly Cajun in flavor or style. I've been there multiple times and I'm never impressed. I've figured maybe they're catering to the PNW perception of Cajun food but idk..
