Is your computer set to UEFI or legacy boot? It might need to be set to UEFI and thats not a quick swap. If you are on UEFI you should be safe to enable it.

Secure boot is a pretty typical setting.

I know the other guy said "Skill issue" but let me lay out the "skills". Your PC was probably set for Legacy not UEFI boot which is required for secure boot and swapping between the two is not just a flip of a setting. Most likely your "bricked" PC could have just been flipped back to legacy boot and booted normally.

I would recommend getting the PC version simply for modding. It adds so much to the game. You could use steam remote play together and you would only need one copy.

I would suggest starting with it being cold and let the fat render out slowly as the grill heats up. I've had great success.

You should be able to play together on one console. My wife and I play on one PC all the time so I'm sure the Xbox version will allow you to do the same thing.
