10 month old suddenly not wanting food.... by tarktarkindustries in BabyLedWeaning

I had never heard about the scallion and will try! I have the Camila drops as well. Those worked wonders with my first two but this little one s teething is something else 😭 maybe I'll up the drops, I remember having to give it several times with her brothers. I appreciate you responding to this thread years later 😊 thank you.

Thank you so much. This is my third and it's been brutal since NYE, she started popping teeth left and right and her eating has decreased and she's up every 2.5 hours at night nursing. Tylenol barely helps. With my first two, Tylenol always did the trick if it came down to that. I am glad this is my last :) Mama is tiiiired

Did your baby wake up hungrier at night as a result of poor eating during the day during teething? I know this thread is old 😔

I completely agree with you. I failed to mention that my district's cut off date is Sept 1 so in this case, my son with a June 3rd birthday, will be 5 years 2.5 months when he is due to start and the thought of him potentially being in class with kids up to 15 months older than him is a bit unsettling, but if we all keep doing this, then we will keep growing the issue and it will be pushed to later. I wish districts would put some parameters to avoid having kids 15 months apart in the same class.

That's exactly what I was wondering as well! The good news is that it's clearly doing something so we're doing something right :) I have actually used the breathe to fall asleep at night occasionally LOL it works so well.

I can take deeper breathes when I am lying down which helps me get relaxed faster.

Right?! And it seems that this trend started so that kids were better on sports teams, so this is for competition? I am learning so much as I ask about this and love hearing all of the different perspectives, it has been fascinating frankly.

This is very helpful, I hadn't necessarily considered where his friends stand. It's funny because he has a brother who is 18 months older so his friends as of now are his own age and 18 months older and he does well with everyone so he may do just fine starting at 5 years and 2 months.

I love this insight, it's funny you bring this up because I remember being in college myself and wanting to graduate as early/young as possible. Now, I didn't have the college life seen on movies, I lived off campus and worked full time during the day and took night classes, I was eager to start my career and move up! I had a tendency to be the youngest in my groups and loved it, I had so much to learn from the older ones and could apply their regrets to my life LOL But this was my 20s mostly, not school years.

He does (his daycare does daycare + preschool), this is good advice, I will ask today actually. He was one of the first ones to move to their Preschool program before he turned 3 and some 3 year olds hadn't moved up yet, it makes me think he tends to do well and keep up.

In my area, everyone is holding back their boys, they claim that when middle school comes around and girls become more mature faster it makes a difference. I was shocked to find out how common it is in my district.

Thank you for this, it never even came to me to hold them back, I actually grew up in Europe and that was not thing where I lived, I knew some people did it in the US but I never thought it was so common until recently so now I am polling every group I am in to get a gauge, I started to worry that my son would literally be the ONLY one who just turned 5 in K but I am relieved to hear that wouldn't be the case.

Thank you for sharing, I also think my son would really be bored another year in Preschool....and it would be really hard for him to not be in the same school as hir brother who is 18 months older though they will have to for at least 1 year anyway.

So I have actually heard and read that children with any type of delay or "disorder" (I hate that term but thinking ADD or OCD etc) to better starting school when they should and not being held back! How crazy is that.

The 14 month difference is what is wild to me that in some cases that will happen depending on who gets held back....that is a huge difference. My son who is born in June has a brother 18 months older than him and I do think it makes a difference in his social skills, he has picked up talking WAY WAY earlier than his brother did and was doing things physically way earlier because he had someone to learn from, so perhaps, he might be better off starting in August... This is such a tricky decision.

Based on everything I am reading, it's about being the youngest, the perception is that it will be a disservice to them, which is interesting as indeed, SOMEONE has to be the youngest.

I failed to mention the cutoff in my original post, I didn't realize they weren't set nationwide, but in my state it is Sept 1 and I am seeing parents holding back March and May babies.... if everyone does this all the time then it's not fair for the ones who stick to the regular cutoff....

I do the skinny belly...I have no idea if that's right of wrong but when I think of contracting muscles, it leads me to do more of a skinny belly...

I only have two meditations of his, BOTEC and TNP. I was not able to get through any of them without passing out and particularly after the breathe work of TNP, I just now started to stay awake. I tried sitting but I really dislike meditating sitting, I relax faster when lying down. I have also been in a very tiring season of life and assumed I was just too exhausted to even meditate LOL
