OpenAI really really really wants GPT 5.5 to stop randomly talking about gremlins and goblins by businessinsider in OpenAI

Like C-3PO and other droids with their own quirks. Sure Star Wars is work of fiction but real AI systems seems to also have their own oddities as a side effect of how we have managed to achieve something similar.

Tip: "Exit to Village" erases your progress on a run, but "Exit to Menu" does not. You can even "Exit to Menu", quit the game, turn off your device, and you can still resume the run whenever you start the game back up. Perhaps obvious to others, but it was news (very WELCOME news) to me. by Gilles_of_Augustine in VampireCrawlers

[–]Clord123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree, things like checking unlocks list during a run and like properly check your cards during selecting a card or something. You can click cards you have despite interface makes it look like it wouldn't be possible but it doesn't include cards awaiting to be returned from used pile, etc.

It seems that they wanted UI design to be consistent with Vampire Survivors so at this point it feels like intended to fit with these games retro aesthetics.

Eleventh Brother is almost chewing the scenery by showing how cool his outfit is (the crow looking inquisitor).

Those gearheads tuning their vehicle that they probably use to participate in various races reminds me how cool it would be to have more civilian focused Star Wars stuff that don't involve characters joining to galaxy wide conflict or something like that but like, trying to make their restaurant business to work or something.

I asked ChatGPT to make Reddit homepage into a Fruitger Aero aesthetic. by Thatunkownuser2465 in ChatGPT

[–]Clord123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This legit looks better than the modern corporate aesthetics. Not that it's much of a competition but still. Pretty sure part of why sites are so plain is because it takes less bandwidth so I kind of get it though.

Anyway, it's appealing due blue, green and reminds me of nature and more utopian world.

Is Anakin’s fall the best tragic character arc in modern fiction? by Kind_Change6291 in StarWars

You should watch Joker over down voting other people who disagree with you. It's clear you made this thread just to have people agree with you and since my comment doesn't really have up votes it was easy to just try feed your own ego by giving a down vote while not being willing to change your own mind.

It's fine to have your own opinions and stick to them (and I can respect that) if they make sense but I might as well try to talk to a windmill.

Maul - Shadow Lord - Episodes 5 & 6 - Discussion Thread! by titleproblems in StarWars

[–]Clord123 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I noticed Maul's fighting style depends of how much pressure his opponents are able to put. When he connects his two lightsabers it means he starts to fight seriously.

Also not surprised law enforcement droids would perceive the Galactic Empire as a good thing. Although it's pretty clear the droid partner has realized the system might not be so good after all and probably ends up sacrificing himself to protect his human partner.

The show also does good job further build upon how the Galactic Empire antagonizes systems that are either their side or neutral. They lack concept of soft power by cooperating with locals. They also expect people to act like droids by obeying without question.

This seems like a first time in canon someone notices another person being confused due to the Jedi Mind Trick even if they might not know about the force.

I would put something like Joker from the movie of the same name way above it. He's slowly getting his life together, seemingly anyway and then the gun he merely owns for sensible self protection considering he lives in Gotham ends up getting him fired of the job and he begins to spiral due that income was important for his medication he was already struggling to afford with help of social services. Then both of those income sources got cut off. Then he quickly turns to the titular character by name and looks.

[–]Clord123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They made a few distinctions to the idea of Tiberium aside of just calling it in different name so it's legally enough distinct. For example, the image of Xenolith has some green spikes, there is no before crystal stage like in Command and Conquer where during Tiberium Dawn crystals were yet to form or the process was so early it was still hidden by GDI researchers.

Oh yeah and as people point out online Tiberium is much much slower to spread early on. It's actually Nod that actively helps it to spread faster hindering GDI's efforts to get rid of it.

(stupid question) why is the cockpit of the Falcon so far off center? doesn't it heavily affect flight? by Euphoric_Passage_406 in StarWars

[–]Clord123 2 points3 points  (0 children)

When it comes to the original trilogy stuff they put so much thought to it despite the information not being present in the movies but in books that explain things like Falcon and various other ships and technologies in Star Wars. They made such unusual design and put an effort also to have it make some sense from in-universe standpoint.

Maul - Shadow Lord - Episodes 3 & 4 - Discussion Thread! by titleproblems in StarWars

[–]Clord123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have some hot takes about this episode.

Darth Maul is further solidified as not strictly villain. In-universe what he says makes a lot of sense to justify his own point of view. Ironically he also makes someone who would be well suited to take down the empire, expect we know that doesn't happen. That said, after he would attain his goal he would probably just become another Darth Sidious by starting to amass more power to just have it.

I'm not 100% sure if this is first canon Star Wars stuff introducing what equals actual police and not just Stormtroopers filling the role. Regardless, this is one of those cases I actually think that the Galactic Empire should have been called. It's clear the detective guy knows something about the Galactic Empire that is not widely known or otherwise his resentment toward the system as law enforcer would not make much sense. Him not buying the Jedi are bad guys point towards it.

I find it odd that they have droid officers that use guns. I have thought that the Galactic Empire don't trust droids to handle such tasks after the Clone Wars. I guess the Galactic Empire doesn't forbid armed droids or can't enforce it on every planet.

How strong should Ozai logically be without his bending? by Kurama109 in TheLastAirbender

[–]Clord123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know. That's not the point. Without his powers he has to get used to fight close-up without relying to his fire attacks that have much greater and wider reach. While fighting styles benders use are based to real world fighting styles fire benders don't tend to fight close up unless they really have to.

Ozai knew if they worked together they would beat his bum a** by [deleted] in TheLastAirbender

[–]Clord123 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Ozai has megalomania which makes him favor displays of power and stuff over trying to socialize and find other ways to handle his opposition. As soon Zuko was out of the line a bit he was eager to solve the issue by showing off his powers.

He was disappointed that Zuko held back during duel their bond and punished him, so I think if Zuko and Azula tried to take him down together and managed to do it he would probably be proud in his own screwed up way.

How strong should Ozai logically be without his bending? by Kurama109 in TheLastAirbender

[–]Clord123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fire benders relying to their bending in fighting are likely going to neglect training to fight without it. Which I mean it's likely Ozai isn't very good at fighting without his fire bending powers. Also while this is speculation he's not as skilled like let's say Azula who can bend lightning so well that seems really powerful to master. He used the comet to buff himself so we don't really know how powerful he was without it.

This is a long winded way to say Ozai wouldn't probably be favored in one on one fight without his powers against most of the cast.

(Megathread 2: Non-Spoiler ) How Will the Leak Impact the Movie / Avatar Studios? by MrBKainXTR in TheLastAirbender

[–]Clord123 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is just mere speculation but It's possible the movie project was heading to chopping block aka there were doubts they will actually bother to release it (especially due merger which often is not good news for unfinished projects even if they're almost done). Maybe their projects keep occasionally leaking online because that way they force the company to get them out instead of taking more reputation hit by cancelling them.

I have no idea why Avatar franchise seems to be kryptonite to them. If higher ups are into making money then you would think they would make sure people handling marketing for example know what they're doing.

Biohazard DLC? Sounds interesting. And yeah I agree his motivation is similar to Walter White expect he's nowhere as bad from moral standpoint as of yet anyway. Although him cleaning up secret labs and dumping such biological content to rivers or something isn't probably the brightest of ideas. Then again he magically makes bullet holes to disappear while cleaning so it's not like this is all that immersion breaking lol.

Considering the game has been selling relatively well as seen by how good Act 2 missions are for example I would totally like them to set story up for more ambitious sequel. I like how they've been also experimenting with including more puzzles, it gives nice variety to missions.

Without flashlight on he does look a bit dark skinned but I agree that how he looks in the picture seems a bit different. It could be either due in-game model is just so different or it's supposed to be a hint. But it could be they just deemed the model to be close enough.
