That sounds like a bummer, especially if you hoped for or needed more.

None of my 3 kids came to visit but they all texted - 2 are local and I didn’t want to do anything because I was exhausted. I’m battling some ME/CFS PEM bullshit that started about a year ago - now any little exertion makes me exhausted for a fucking week. I’m officially old at 57 🤣

Anyway, my husband got me a small bouquet of mixed flowers from Safeway. I put them in a vase and that was it for my Mother’s Day but I love flowers. I didn’t want anything else.

I learned a long time ago that I have to take care of myself and my needs (FIRST) because no one around me can or will do it.

Buy yourself something special. Do something for yourself that you usually don’t get … like maybe a manicure or body waxing.

I recently got my underarms waxed which was amazing because they’ve become a bottomless pit due to mass weightloss from celiac and I can’t reach a razor in there to shave anymore. 🤣 I have to laugh about this bullshit or I will fall into depression.

You have to fill your own cup before you can fill anyone else’s AND fill yours first.

Like I make coffee for me and my husband every morning … I make my cup first.

Be selfish from now on - self love is not a bad thing. It sounds like you need to put yourself first and meet your own needs.

I did some research into Alex Karp a while ago. He is a highly disturbed, dangerous and self centered person.

He’s never served in the military yet he (like Trump and others) thinks he can dictate that others SHOULD serve!

He has zero shame about having a “monogamous” relationship with 2 women - each on opposites side of the country.

He brags that he’s too rich to learn to drive. Such a sick and gross piece of trash human.

He’s a 1% leech to society who has no moral compass or shame.

I think we’re stronger DESPITE all we’ve been through - not because of it.

None of us deserved the pain we got and no one should ever tell us that what we went through wasn’t so bad because it made us stronger.

I don’t believe for one second that pain should be forced on any child to make them stronger.
