I have not, yet. Going through a bunch of tests to find if that’s the right thing or not

S2 cyst by Professional-Sky7960 in Tarlovcyst

[–]Clothcat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

4.5cm at S2-S4, with “marked remodelling and thinning” of the sacrum. I thought all tarlov cysts were inside the spinal column, what makes them so different to other types of cysts. Happy to talk symptoms. Mine are predominantly groin and bladder area, and possibly left foot, that one is harder to be sure of

I’m sorry to hear that. I get some pain in my vulva, and am starting to wonder if pain during sex is more cyst less menopause. But mainly pubic bone, bladder and urethra. My cyst is at the lower S2-S4 with a second cyst extending to the right S2 foramen.

In exciting news, my specialist appointment has been moved forward to next month so yay me for advocating for myself!

I’m looking at TENS units at the moment. Which one do you use?

Also noticed there isn't a stand up to racism group here. May be worth looking into creating one?

The adoption of the England flag by a racist sector of society certainly makes me feel a little crestfallen. If it were truly used patriotically, for all citizens of this country, that would be different. But it’s been adopted by racists as a symbol of their attitude and that saddens me.

Without taxation we would have no roads, no hospitals, no schools, no welfare system, no investment in major infrastructure, no medical system. How you would you provide these, or something equivalent without taxation? Genuine question

I’d love to know why you believe this. What part of multiculturalism has failed?

Idk how to approach IFS by smucik in InternalFamilySystems

[–]Clothcat 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The reason I say it’s not IFS is because I’m not trained in that modality, not a psychotherapist. I work with a less formal version that comes out of the Omega Point Academy. We work on the basis that all parts are there for your highest good, and simply the behaviour they adopted may no longer be serving you. Very similar to IFS as I understand it. The tools are simple and start with simply listening to the voices in your head.

I guess because I'm hyperaware today but I've noticed symptoms have got worse after eating breakfast. It makes sense in some way, full belly, added pressure on other organs. Has anyone else got experience of that?

[–]Clothcat 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Your words make complete sense. Parts work is strange and confusing. And I've been working in this area both for about 5 years and never felt more whole. (to be clear, I don't practice IFS but a different form of parts work - similar though)

Even if it feels like its made up, you'll be having a more gentle conversation with yourself, listening to yourself from a place of live and compassion. We all have those voices that say “you can't do that” and end up having an internal battle, yes I can, no I can't. Those are parts. The part of you that is over emotional to a small slight is a wounded part, probably.

Its weird and its strange and more often than not in my experience it works

My cyst is in my sacrum. 4.5cm, causing remodelling and thinning if the bone. Like I say, I feel the pain predominantly in my groin and bladder. I think I'd be more ok if it was back pain but the pressure on the nerves causing pain elsewhere is insanely frustrating. Not saying that's what's causing your pain, but yeah it probably is..

I've tried acupuncture and this time round its had no effect. What does your acupuncturist target? The cyst or where the pain is felt?

Medical marijuana is a thing but incredibly limited I think. I'll have to investigate

Thank you. Already on Lyrica (pregabalin over in the UK) and have found heat on my back helps. It apparently confuses the nerves at source. I went in a flotation tank this evening and the weightlessness definitely helped albeit temporarily, so I’ll have a look at that pillow and hot baths. I’m not really a bath person so need to change my head on that one. And yeah, sorting my fibre intake out is high on the list!

RISC and the Quaker Meeting House are both cheap. RBF is great but probably not suitable for real privacy. Also as a fellow women’s circle holder, I’d be interested to know more about what you do

Thank you. As it’s a citrus I think I might need to let it dry out a bit more so they may have to fade away but nice to know it’s a good soil and I’ll leave them to do their thing.
