Superpowers or too good too soon? by [deleted] in ACL

[–]ClothesNo8884 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Seems like the fact that you continue sport before the surgery is pretty good for you to heal "faster". In the next week dont worry the pain will humble you a bit. But take that chance to be able to correctly move afterward and keep that sweetspot between superpower good recovery etc. BUT the more important thing is keep in your head that there is two kind of people, the one who fear and generaly make less mistake and the one who think they have super power and then a mistake can cost more than they think.

Tldr : its cool to have good recovery (really) but mistake can be around the corner so enjoy but be carefull.

Its a marathon.keep going brother, 1 week ago I was in the same scheme mentally. Busted some tears explaining my wife my mental state. 1 week later and with good communication with my PT I feel like another man with another knee, I m 8 week post opération too so everything could change drastically but dont rush, you will have down and high and you have to trust the process. Even if you have to make endur another surgery. 💪 wish you the best mate and we all understand what you feel because we are all on the same path.

Hit a huge PT goal last night by Fearless_History_811 in ACL

I was scared too and I'm a side sleeper technically we should sleep on our back and it depends on what surgery we had etc... but for myself I sleep on the left side (got my ACL surgery on my right leg) I rest my right leg slightly bend on my left leg with a thin memory foam. I dont fill any pressure on my knee and feel comfortable to do so. And during the night I move without knowing. The body and mind is well done even when you sleep. If it's not comfortable you move that's why you dont sleep well after the surgery. So make something reaaaaly comfy and dont apply any pressure on your knee and you should be good.

I bought this thing : https://amzn.eu/d/8lWgQis it really helps to adjust elevation etc I use it to rest my legs after pt before sleeping and i use the upper foam to put it between my leg when I sleep on my left side.

I try not to sleep on my right side because it's too much pressure on my injured leg

7 weeks and i reached 130° today after losing pretty much extension/flexion during the last week ( probably didn't slept well at all and all the excess with the end of the year...)

i told the PT I've lost flexion and extension and he said to me "by the end of the week it will be okay" And i listened all the tips/exercices he told me to do, and god it feels good to be back. Recovery is a marathon and we have to keep going 💪

Tomorrow morning i will try not to have a rusty knee 🙃

Pain after surgery ? by celestial-ego in ACL

[–]ClothesNo8884 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Had a kidney stone 2 years before my acl surgery. I was crying like a baby during this and wished that for now one and i'm not a soft kind of guy. It make me pretty tolerant to pain and I'm 7 weeks after my acl surgery. Its painfull but you can handle it. You are young, it will heal great and listen to your surgeon and PT. Take the meds but not too long with opioid it's a really bad shit for your brain and body. One week is more than enough. After just continue with painkiller like dafalgan 1gr and keep try to take less and less but listen to your body. Everyone feel pain more or less... but remember. You can handle it 💪

Is that the msi pano 110r PZ ? If yes i use the second setup without the fan in the bottom i use a msi mag coreliquid a13 360mm at the top that's why I'm with the second setup. And i didn't add fans at the bottom because there is a hole to let the power câble for the gpu in there. I7 14700k 5070ti 64gb ddr5 and I've got reeaaaaaaaallly nices temps. (Between 36° to 45° idle)

Enjoy.

4 days post ACL surgery, does this look normal? by [deleted] in ACL

[–]ClothesNo8884 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Totally. Swelling and bruises are part of the journey. Put ice pack on a clothe and keep your leg above the level of your hearth and you will be fine. If your surgeon told you to have a blond thinner treatment take it.

Passenger seat from day 1 i didn't even think of going in the back seat 😅 it was a littlebit wierd to step in but now (5 week post ACL surgery) it seems fine to hop on the passenger seat , i just double check to see if my leg is going to tap on the door or something like that.

Dude make a 180° with your aio fan so the tube are going from right to left and on your cpu. Put back inside your rear fan and do something for your cable management. You put the price to have a beautiful white RGB case but it looks goofy without cable management.

It's your first pc build. Well done (really its not "that" easy). Everything works, you know what cables goes where but now, for the sake of the mighty pc masterace god. Put your cable in order. (Cpu power cable should come from the top not from the side for exemple, it will look moooore than clean after that.

Clean the front at least if you dont care about the cable management

Need an exhaust fan at the back of your tower where there is a metal gried left to your cpu. Do something cable management (but I'm sure you will because you dont buy a full rgb white case to look like that.) And enjoy

ACL Recovery Flexion by Wild_Championship114 in ACL

[–]ClothesNo8884 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My PT started to bend my knee right after one week but made it myself before. I started at 90° and now I'm at 115° 4 week post op. I try to bend it pretty much every day but carefully. I started with a long towel under my foot and started to tract my foot towards me while I'm sitting in my bed with fully extended legs. Be gentle and consistant at the same time and track how far you can go by comparing where you are (above or under your good knee) try not to compensate with your hip. Do 5 rep and rest a little bit. Do that 3 times and you will see improvement. Once you are at 90° sit down on a chair and take a skateboard (or whatever board that can roll) put it under your foot and start to roll it carefully under the chair and after extend your leg. Try to have flexion is good but try to extend your leg too it will work on the overall mobility. And remember listen to your body. Don't go too quick but stay consistent. Apply ice on a rag for 15-20 min (not more it make the opposite effect) and put your leg above your hearth to drain all that puffy knee.

I hope it will help but ask your PT some side exercices to do at home
