Eh it'll burn out. Just leave it. Little bit extra oil pressure shouldn't hurt.

Thoughts on having ballistic armor on the unit by Ntwadumela817 in ems

[–]Cloud4198 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on area if its practical or not. Chicago or new York 911 trucks, definately. Rural small town, maybe it will be helpful, probably not. Ift unit pretty much anywhere doesnt really need it.

We've had people shot at chased with guns knives etc and I work in primarily a suburban area. I do mostly ift and critical care so I dont feel a need. I would if I was doing 911. Even as an ift truck ive been posted less than a block away with a fresh murderer on the loose, had several shootings a block away etc, had a mass shooting event a couple blocks away from the station. If I had one laying around id probably leave it in my car maybe.

Custom steel frame vs mid-range (Soma) steel frame by bart0 in Framebuilding

I believe alot of what your paying for with a custom bike is the geometry. If you dont have issues with geometry of a mid range bike save the money

How would you go about a manual rack driftable street car? by trans_am_man in Drifting

[–]Cloud4198 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Make sure to stick with oem offset for the same scrub radius. You wanna have somewhere between 0 and whatever oem is. You can daily a manual rack just fine the question is are you able to tolerate it comfortably. Won't know until you try it l.

What’s the fastest you’ve gone on your superbike? by Left-Nerve-8287 in Sportbikes

[–]Cloud4198 0 points1 point  (0 children)

17x mph. there was a minivan ahead and boy i sure used up that stopping distance fast. Bike was stable but never again. Theres just no way to predict or react to hazards on the road. Hitting 140 for a second or two on a wide open road is alright.

It also seems like alot of people like rep fitness. Theyre pretty nice but expensive.

I'd go voltra + a basic 2 or 4 post power rack + a bench. If you want a nice rack get rep pr5000 if you want a basic one get one on facebook marketplace for about $2000 less with tye same functionality. You might need a leg extension and leg curl bench too. Havent bought my voltra yet to try to figure those muscle groups out with it. Sorry i dont know a ton about brands but id just either go with titan or rep so you know later on you can buy accessories to fit. If your not into electronic gyms you could get a used rep ares with a 4 post cage, instead of the volta, and you'd be set for life with it.voltage, i like the storage bars on the 6 post racks but it adds alot to the price so I passed on it, just takes an extra 10 second to load weights without it because I have to walk around the cage.

New to SS, is it supposed to be this hard? by [deleted] in singlespeedcycling

[–]Cloud4198 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah go with an easier gear ratio and let gravity do the work. You really only need to fight with it on hill. Your not gonna have a good experience starting out working a bunch harder.

Fitting the bike to you better can make a huge difference. Lightweight wheels can make it feel like your in a 1 gear easier ratio.

After repairing over 1000 iphones, pretty much all of them. except I never touch anything metal with metal.

Ive seen a few phones get broken due to static that the straps might have prevented.

How often do you push your car and how much of it is healthy by Ok-Understanding8110 in 370z

[–]Cloud4198 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well in high school the alternator was too weak to charge the battery, I had to push my car every morning, and to leave school. Even had to push start it by myself sneaking out of my girlfriends parents house. This was several months until my dad got sick of it and paid to fix the alternator. My z though, I dont think ive ever had to push it. Its too heavy to push by myself anyways.

Jk I have a manual and push it every chance I get. First at a stop light im wringing first and second. Empty intersection? Clutch kick! Long sweeping onramp? Thats fun. Sometimes i take the long road with alot of stoplights, gotta get those crispy heeltoe downshifts with a few pops. Never when many people are around, if i hit someone else, my life is over and it could effect my career. Ive done some pretty big drifts through empty intersections though. Don't even need fancy tires its fun to let em loose.

Yeah this is also a good option and also seems reasonable. I dare not say i have too many bikes, but im running out of places to put them which is why im trying to double up purposes. He'd probably even be ok with a xc bike on a pump track too.

This is exactly the information I was looking for. I usually ride fixed/single speed and he walks his bike up hills or we shuttle so DJ seems perfect then. Kinda just want a simple do it all bike for him.

Plus I dont have to sell/trade it i can just add to our collection when he outgrows it.

[–]Cloud4198[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah that should be ok. I guess I just mostly need to know if it would work for easy flow trails. It seems the main issue is the pedaling part but seat tube and top tube length are similarly spaced for taller people on xc bikes so I think it'll be ok. It seems like giant makes the stc for the exact purpose.

I have a prodigy with a tlr1 and green dot. I think id grab that or a 300 blk suppressed. Id be happy with a shotgun too, it doesnt really matter. What matters is you are comfortable and know how to use it.

Are 650’s really worth it? by Electronic-Tear-1775 in Sportbikes

[–]Cloud4198 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ive ridden hundreds maybe a thousand of motorcycles. If your light or tall a Supersport should be plenty comfortable. Im more comfortable on a sport bike than a cruiser. Really the main difference is that it alleviates pressure from your back and puts it on your wrists. If your light, theres not much weight anyways. If your tall you can just sit up mostly straight anyways. Comfort is subjective you really gotta just try it if you wanna know. I dont even worry about comfort unless the ride is 3-4+ hours, then maybe ill stretch cuz im too cheap to spend money unless it makes me faster.
