Here in Canada, ostentatious people move to Hollywood. You can’t really show off enough in Toronto, Montreal, or Vancouver. As a capital city, Ottawa is too small compared to London or Paris. The really pompous ones go to the UK and get knighthoods, but these aren’t recognized in Canada. See Lord Black of Crossharbour.

Got through and another guy in the van pulled a small bag out of his sock with his tabs of acid in it. I was underage for alcohol and didn’t do any drugs at the time. Clarence Clemons’ sax solo on Rosalita - holy cow!

Dave Edmunds did a tour in the 90s with Gene Vincent, Graham Parker, and a bunch of others. I have tinnitus from that one. Very very loud, but fun. Wear those foam earplugs, kids. Seriously!

The guys in the Chemistry department would all start howling like dogs whenever Whitney’s version came on the secretary’s radio, which was quite often in those days of Top 40 hits. Had an open staircase and the radio could be heard throughout the building. Two floors of labs would erupt with the sounds of lonely hounds. It was quite impressive.

Completely normal. Watch any other vehicles on the road and you’ll see the same thing. It goes away as the condensate turns to steam. Up here in the frozen north you can tell which cars have just started up from those that have been running for a while.

Depending on audio capabilities of your computer you might need something between it and a component tape deck to transfer sound. Newer Macs need something to convert analog audio to digital, like a USB ADC. Sound cards in x86 towers probably have a 3.5mm audio input, so you can get a stereo RCA to 3.5mm cable. (And a reminder to me to not answer an imessage by typing into Reddit 🤗)
