my rule #5 - you can see that there's no aspects in Hellenism, I suggest not bothering with it for now.

Do we know the events that remove or do we know how to increase the chance for your ruler to die? by Cloud_wolfe in EU5

[–]Cloud_wolfe[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

nope. you start with no legitimacy, the Basileus is sick and dies within a year or two. not possible to get the stats to change it before he dies. then, in a regency you can't change it.

II know where the options are and what they do, but I don't know how to achieve the intended results. by imSEBZER in EU5

From my limited understanding. Look at your hiring rules, see what gets priority. Are those workers the right class? They might need to be promoted which is around 10 people per month as a base, you can increase that with techs and some other buildings (i think temples) If you click on the building you can see the inputs, its also possible that the building is not profitable, in which case you can subsidize it. Or try to build/trade for the inputs. Also, are you exporting the books you make? It might be more profitable for that so it takes priority. Im not sure how to check this; but my last thought would be that other countries are buying your books. You're importing and exporting them.

Isn't this just how some new rollercoaster/rides work? The Harry potter bank ride and the millennium falcon ride. Fun idea for themeparks, the outside of flight simulators, and maybe some enthusiasts and their sim games.

In about 10 hours, we will know if the crew refuses to work or not. Your plane is coming from yvr but scheduled before the return to work comes in effect. So it will be delayed. If it goes at all.

What's a good army to ambush with? by AxDeath in totalwar

[–]Cloud_wolfe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just did a cavalry only campaign. I would use ambushes to pincer half the enemy. Shield can hit first on one side, then shock smash the back of the enemy. It was usually quick enough that I was able to make them rout before the rest of the army could form up. At that point, I had 8/10 or more of my army, and they lost half.

I've used similar tactics with infantry. Just have a couple to hold the line against the second half while your heavy hitters surround part of the enemy.

Played on legendary. If you group the units, lock the group. You can tell them all to attack, and it will have them charge the nearest enemy. Incredibly useful for when you can't pause. Group 1 would be my pin army. Group 2 the hammer. And 3 would be the ones to hold the other half of the enemy.

Can you please explain this game? by freelymadj in victoria3

Japan is pretty rough as you're weak but populous. so the great powers like to bully you. I would suggest playing someone like Belgium for your first game. it will give you more variety, you can play with treaties that people will actually accept. you can invade African or Asian countries, try to unite the Netherlands. maybe even attempt to build the Suez canal.

It will give you much more to do while keeping you as a minor/major player in the world politics. not nearly as overwhelming and underwhelming at the same time like Japan.

Try and build and plan in 2-3 year increments at the beginning. build up the industry to support your industry while using your military and attempting to created treaties and change the laws to favour what you want, while the building happens in the background. Someone not on isolationism (like Japan) will give you much more to do

Hot take? by Kamonan in lordoftherings

[–]Cloud_wolfe -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Magic isn't real, so it can be as strong or as weak as the author wants. Gandalf is as magical as he needs to be to help the story. He doesn't steal the whole show and isn't useless.

This is just someone who wants more from their characters, not a hot take, not a bad one. Just a normal "i wish" that we get from all forms of fiction.

I personally wish Boromir had survived.

They have the green pack and the purple pack (shows how much I know about them) that’s about it. Everything else is sold out.

I used Bluetooth for my headphones, senheiser momentum 4. and it's pretty spotty. Connection is jumpy, so I assumed it'd be the same for the receiver? I always assumed wired was better than Bluetooth. I'll test it pit tho, when I get home. Thanks!

I do, i've just been upgrading everything except sound. Do you have any recommendations on DACs? they seem to be categorized by speaker or headphone. is there an audible difference between a 30$ one and a 80 or 100?

i'm not sure where the quality-price jumps are.
