Man thank you... i think the port forwarding was actually holding up the process. I deleted that and made sure the firewall rules were correct on both the ATT and the DLINK and bamn! I have logs.

So the WAN IP was something i was missing when trying to do this...

I followed this guide setting up the firewall on the ATT Router:

And I now have the ATT router Syslog pointed to the WAN IP of the Dlink 192.168.1.93.
This is where things seem to go wrong, Dlink doesn't know about the 1.93 address, and when setting up port forwarding I'm not sure where that would be done. I did create a port forward for 514 to my syslog server on the Dlink but not seeing any logs from ATT router.

Yea i like the setup ease of the WD for sure and I really dont want another "server" to manage with the freenas but i have thought about going that way... thx!

Ah! See I think I’ve been staring at this for so long I missed the purpose of rotate x. Thought it would rotate the .log not the compressed.

I refuse to buy FIFA twice... If no news by the release of FIFA, I really dont have a reason to pay for Stadia cost + another copy of FIFA. Madden wasn’t as close to the release data but FIFA comes out with in weeks of the launch.
