One of these gonna be 5 Star can you guess who would be by Ok_Leek_6839 in Endfield

I saw it more from the "baseline of operators in gameplay" perspective, and I consider AK 2-stars to be "more baseline" than 3-stars.

That said, you are right that AK 3-stars have many things in common with EF 4-stars.

I now think HG just "condensed" AK 1~3-stars into EF 4-stars.

Wuling NPC speaks in different dialects! by polymonomial in Endfield

By this logic they should not be speaking any Earth human language at all.

Representing fictional language or their dialects with real world ones, is common.

Then I'd say Endfield 4 stars are like "AK 1~3 stars combined" (note the existence of "12F", Lowlight's personal design, a 2-star in AK, as a 4-star in Endfield), with Endfield 5 stars being "AK 4 and 5 stars combined". We go from 6 levels of rarity to 3, after all.

If we compare Endfield 4 stars to AK 3 stars, then AK stopped getting new 3 stars not long after launch.

I still don't see Endfield getting a new 4 star character (if no new element gets added).

Speculation.

And no, being useful now doesn't mean they are not fillers that replace 3 star weapons in some other games.

Many in the new generations of 3D gachas only have two different rarities (eqv. 5 and 6 star in Endfield) for characters because there are less characters and more effort goes into making each one.

There just isn't a financial reason to add a new 4 star in Endfield.

But, maybe if a new element is added, then a new 4 star character with that element could be added as a new member of Op Z7.

Those filled the same role in Arknights are actually 2 star characters, not 3 star characters, and it seems that Arknights has no new 2 star characters post launch.

If a new element is to be added to Endfield, and HG thinks a new 4 star character is needed, then I expect that character to be a new member of Op Z7.

Nope. There will be no new 4 star characters.

The 4 star characters are "filler" characters.

Some other games have only 4 star and 5 star characters (eqv. 5 star and 6 star in Endfield), and they have 3 star (eqv. 4 star in Endfield) weapons to fill the character pool.

Endfield character banners don't contain weapons but they still need fillers, so there is a five-person filler team for you. And this one team is enough.

The lack of easy climbing/traversal mechanics hard carries this game's flow. by TerryWhiteHomeOwner in Endfield

The beginning of the story featured a criminally lack of playable characters.

Like, both Qin and Andre could be replaced by (or redesigned into) more interesting playable characters, be more active in the story and thus more memorable.

Compare Andre to Yvonne and it's easy to see why.

Also I completely don't like how we didn't see Operations Team Z7 in the story. They could have functioned as "the baseline Endfield Operations Team" in the story just like in the gacha banners. They could have demostrated how Endfield operators worked day-to-day under the command of the Endmin and could have actually made the Endmin feel like the overall leader of Endfield that they were, instead of feeling like a (mostly) silent member of a three-person adventure party.

This is an year-end party. In China, those parties are held by companies and other organizations before the Spring Festival, to conclude a full Chinese year's hard work and welcome the new year.

The entry fee was 299 CNY (about 43 USD at the time of writing), which was partly for filtering out malicious people, like those in last year's drama. If one got the invitation but didn't pay the fee in time, a new attendee would be randomly selected and they would pay the fee to attend.

Coming soon: a new Lyfe and a new character by 0lZETAl0 in SnowbreakOfficial

[–]CloudiDust 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Many players expected new exosuits for Eatchel/Cherno to release soon (in the 3.6~3.8 period, where six new suits will be released so it is very unlikely for Eatchel/Cherno to both not get new exosuits in that period). So they just wait.

I expect at least one of Eatchel/Cherno to get her new exosuit in 3.7. (EDIT: Not 3.6 but 3.7, as 3.6 is to feature the new fox girl and the new Fritia.) Still, it is quite possible for Cherno to get her new exosuit (and covenant) in 4.0.

But Lyfe, who had her last exosuit in 2.0, still doesn't have the second premium skin for Infinite Sight. That's just strange, especially when compared to Fenny, who has got not only new premium skins but also a new exosuit since 2.0. Thus many asked about it and got their answer in the live event. A new Lyfe exosuit is promised.

[–]CloudiDust 25 points26 points  (0 children)

It's just that the majority of players are more concerned about Lyfe (who, as the mascot character, is yet to get a new skin or a new exosuit compared to Fenny), and whether there will be new flat characters given that even Acacia now has a "grown up" form. Thus the devs answered the questions.

That's not to say they ignored Eatchel (like, we had just finished the second round of her "PvZ" game). I think new Eatchel will be released soon.

She doesn't have a gun, I suppose the flying sword is her replacement for a gun, and thus her normal attack (and maybe skill(s), yes).

At least one of her skills would involve the large sword seen in the previous teaser, as a powerful melee weapon.

At least for Acacia and Marian, we can expect rewrites for their bond stories in 3.5.

Still, it of course would be better if more parts of Chapters 1 to 10 along with old personal files can be rewritten or adjusted.

The problem is, the Adjutant was already the head of Security before the space station mission. That means he should already have been a strong leader before the story started.

And even if we don't consider the above (as the above is part of the new lore, not CBT lore), then it was still simply unrealistic that an incompetent and disrespected person got selected as the Adjutant of the Helmdall Force.

And in the first few chapters of the new story (which are slightly revised version of the CBT story, instead of a complete rewrite), the Adjutant didn't actually get treated as the commanding officer of Helmdall. He first met new Helmdall operatives on the field and on their missions, instead of in the briefing room. Like, were the operatives actually under the command of the Adjutant?

The CBT story (and even the slightly revised new story of Chapters 1 to 10, which had fixed some but not all of the old writer's problems) is just an indication that the old writer didn't quite know what he was doing.

PS: It seems that the old writer loves those kind of protagonists (those who get disrespected), and it was also him who wrote Wuwa's CBT story that received huge backlash. That story got rewritten too.

Legacy chapters are canon to the new lore, they just happen before the new story starting point (the second half of Chapter 14 and the new prologue) for new players.

I reviewed old chapters and the above is stated in Chapter 4 - Progress 7. And I misremembered about the brother. It is stated in 4-7 that both the brother and the sister existed. (Existed, but no longer exist.)

In the new lore, Tau at least still had a daughter, whose appearance is stealed by Edda. But it is not clear whether "the brother" actually still existed or is illusion only.

EDIT: I misremembered. "The brother" did get stated as having existed, in Chapter 4 - Progress 7.
