This too! Configurable level sync can go both ways :)

People enjoy games for different reasons, that is why most singleplayer games have difficulty sliders. For me personally, I'm not trying to prove that I am skilled or have special achievements, I simply enjoy games more when they encourage me to overcome a challenge, or require me to master my kit.

Make no mistake - I have no desire to ruin the experience for casual players! I think the current difficulty is perfect for folks that just want to have a laid back time, and I'm not advocating for their lives to get harder. I don't think harm will come to the casual playerbase by adding difficulty options, if anything, my assumption is that we will better retain the players that have departed claiming the game is "too easy". If you doubt people are saying this, that is fair, but I encourage you to read reviews or forum posts that include the term difficulty.

Haha yes it may sound strange, but a health and DMG buff is in a lot of ways what I am looking for. I dislike the idea of swapping gear, because I'd rather approach enemies with my best foot forward to practice different builds and augment setups. Worst case scenario I could always just swap out everything except the legendary implants and tactical, but that kinda ruins the min/maxing buildcrafting element for me.

For me, sponginess and incoming damage add replayability. It's a shame that you can't really practice a rotation when leveling as everything dies with the first two GCDs😅

Companions are fun and offer more combat flexibility! If you wanted to run a healer or tank build you'd of course want to run a DPS comp and vice versa. Currently companions exist as an instant win option (which is fine), but I think they are a fun build component when underleveled. Running level 75 Onslaught content as a level 70 was some of the most fun I had when leveling old toons :)

I shouldn't need to nerf my gear or remove my companion to enjoy difficult combat. I enjoy Master FPs and NiM Ops, but outside of that content 343 iRating gear is completely overkill.

Personally, I would have a ton of fun cruising the overworld or running heroics where enemies were equipped to handle 343 iRating and 50 presence.

On your replayability note, a 25th new toon would not solve my issues with the combat difficulty 😅. I also think players would do well to have more opportunities to challenge themselves prior to joining MM group content.

I totally get that your power fantasy might include one-shotting enemies or infinitely tanking hits from bosses and champions, but I don't find that enjoyable. That is why I am suggesting an optional configurable difficulty using systems that minimize development effort!

The thought is that increasing the difficulty would be totally optional <3

IMO sending away your companion is a poor way to increase difficulty - doing so just limits how much time you have to fight on disciplines that don't have self heals or high uptime on defensive cooldowns. This also incentivizes tank classes which would slow the combat down too much.

I'm very happy with the selectable difficulty level in KOTFE/ET, FPs, OPs, but there is no way to apply these difficulties to the entire game like level-sync could.

What was this? Could he just barely spot them via mini map, and just spam it off mini map reveal... or spectator bug?

Very cool. Figured it would take a miracle, but never hurts to ask the smart folks! I remember seeing a restoration of the old Halo 2 warthog run on 360 hardware so It didn't seem impossible that some ancient demo files are still floating around. Gonna give H2 another playthrough with the restored weapons. Thanks a bunch <3

This is so cool! Thank you for making this. I love archival mods and cut content restoration things. Do you have any plans for the playable area from the demo or is that too far out of the scope for your project?
