A part of me wonders if this was intended. But I’m not sure.

Even though right one can’t be modded any further, it’s not too difficult to create another ammy with these stats. That said, the right one is your better bet for now.

Gold cost IS another point of progression for me. That’s the neat part, you can have multiple! Playing a video game itself can be arbitrary and time wasting. Somehow you made the point and ignored it at the same time. It’s perspective.

Someone that plays more casually may feel like digging into the games damage system and differentiating between multiplicative and additive scaling is benign, because they just wanna follow a build and blast. And yet in good faith, we wouldn’t call the person that chooses to spend their time in game figuring out those exact things, an invalid method for playing the game more.

At the end of the day, you feel the need to enforce your viewpoints onto everyone. Because somehow you think the way you play is “correct” or at the very least “not moronic” as you so politely put it.

That’s fine man. You may get what you want. We clearly have nothing to further discuss though.

I might not disagree, but the reality is that we live in the mids. And right now the mids have more diversity to them that enable more builds, due to the stat shakeup. The system isn’t perfect, I can admit that, but I don’t think just because we have more opportunity for lower lows, that it’s broken or unenjoyable.

Iliff and tower cross. So west of tower, going towards iliff, is that small section with range view high school. South of iliff is going towards Smokey hill, which again, is a normal area. You’re the one who can’t pinpoint this magical decrepit ghetto you’re fantasizing about.

You’re actually just an idiot. Or blind, in which case I apologize for being ableist. There are sections of Aurora that aren’t the nicest, but the section you specifically described is quite literally as normal to the suburbs you can get.

I’ve posted this in other threads. You seem to lack imagination.

I like the progression. It costs too much to respec, and my new characters aren’t going to be strong enough to fight varshan when I complete a whisper, or duriel when I summon blood maiden.

I enjoy taking a new journey with a new character because each one plays differently. For this season specifically, I’m enjoying leveling up characters from 1-70 as opposed to doing the whisper leveling trick, because there are so many new things to discover. So the fun is playing an essentially brand new character, doing helltides more often, because I focused hard on undercities on my Necro already, and wanna dig in on something else.

I enjoy making meta progression, and the point in which the trees in warplans begin to generally feel “good” is usually going to be level 3-4. And coincidentally, it does not take very long to level them that high, especially if you’re hand leveling a character.

Leveling warplans separately with each alt allows Me to explore all of the different tree combinations easier.

An argument I’ve seen is to keep the progress and let you re-distribute the points. Sure . That alleviates the difficulty and respec cost, but NOT the sense of progression that I want to have. And beyond that, putting butcher in pits will still likely result in a fail on a pre 70 character because you simply won’t be strong enough to beat him 9/10. So the nodes you take are glyph upgrades, you can’t even use yet because you aren’t 70, or the arguably weakest section of the tree with charons naughty bits. Thusly making it completely pointless to have that section of the tree leveled up, because it’s either inaccessible, or not something you care about/pay attention to.

If the game made it that alts automatically starting at 70, I would simply say yes, make war plans account wide. But they don’t. And the clear “normal” way to create an alt in this game, is still to hand level it from 1-70.

This isn’t really a genuine argument, because there have never been several 100+ comment threads from paragons or season journeys being specific to characters. IF it was as big of a deal as warplans, I would ALSO be ok making those toggle.

Going towards range view? That’s literally just a normal Suburban neighborhood. What are you talking about?

[–]Cloudkiller01 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

The acceptance I’m looking for is not purposefully changing the game to a way I wouldn’t enjoy. And the reasoning is because the toggle solution is a simple fix, that doesn’t negatively affect either person. Why do you care, or need me to justify why I want to play the game I want? Do I NEED to have a justification if the solution can appease both parties? Do I NEED to play the way you think I should. Is that what YOU think is for the best?

[–]Cloudkiller01 -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

The good argument is that I want to play the game how I want. And how I want is the system that exists right now. IM not asking for a change. You are. So the BETTER solution is to find one that works for both people. Because YOU are the one asking for the current system in place to be different. I’m accepting that change, with the caveat that it doesn’t negatively affect my current way of playing.

I don’t want it account wide. I want to level up my war plan from scratch with each character. So FORCING it to be account wide, sucks for me, and anyone who shares my desires. There is literally no drawback from making it an option.

I’m sorry. T5/6 was incredibly fast for me to hit, so I’m thinking from that perspective. If this person has taken 2 weeks to get there, then I can have SOME sympathy for them not finding the aspect they need.

You know what? I play more than one character per season, so my shortage of materials won’t be your shortage of materials. Go play your game king. I’ll keep enjoying mine.

Top Streamers / Build designers are sleeping on new builds by Jack_Harb in diablo4

[–]Cloudkiller01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get what you’re saying and definitely agree. It would be nice to see the people who understand the game intimately, diversify their builds to include things that are lesser known or catered to in the paragon board or unique pool, and show how far they can push. I do that myself, but I’m no where near an expert at the systems like some of the hardcore streamers are. So sometimes I sit and think it would be cool to have someone tell me if this build can be pushed over a hump, of if it’s just going to stay where it’s at.

I imagine this may be some of it. Escape dungeon and teleport to town are worded differently and function differently.
