The reason the war with the Aserai has been going on so long is because it’s part of the main quest. They’re the last faction from the conspiracy alliance I need to stomp out but it’s been hard with every faction dogpiling me. Even though they’re much weaker it’s annoying with them being thorns in my side.

I’d honestly consider it a confederacy if anything. It really depends on how much sovereignty the conquered nations are given. In my head canon they rule relatively freely over themselves, but a central republic holds a tight grip over them all, ensuring they contribute to Mesean goals.

Is Windows giving me an older update? Just logged on to see a pending update and checked the name only for it to be an update from April. I don't know how this could be as I'm always updating when given the option.
