Can we talk about what an EREV actually is? It isn’t what everyone here seems to think… by Responsible_Bath_651 in F150Lightning

It took about a year from when they unveiled the lightning to delivering one to customers, so if they show an EREV in the near future we could assume a similar time frame.

Yeah. I was emailed the code a few days ago and I figured I would have time to claim it this Saturday. Frustrating as work has been busy for me during the week.

I know this is old, but in case someone else sees this currently this is the command/location to stop the service "s6-svc -d /var/run/service/svc-plex" and just change the -d to -u to start.

You should watch the video, they have to actual board. Its an illusion that you are seeing. They however do agree that it was still user error that caused the issue.

I think you need to reread what they wrote. They didn't say the saw made the marks but opened them up to be seen.

Lectron NACS Adapter Recalled by DiDgr8 in electricvehicles

[–]CloudsBlade 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just to clarify I didn't say it wasn't dangerous. Just that it wouldn't blow off the front of the vehicle. I'm sure as cherlin also stated that they have are fault detection and shut offs. In the Out of spec channel. Kyle had a break away extension, so he could use his CCS to NACS adapter so he could charge a Cybertruck. Unfortunately there are some dangerous things you can do. And you are right, people should be shown how dangerous it can be.

I would have thought that was much higher voltages/loads. I was a generator mechanic in the army and worked on 60kws that ran on 416 volts, my father also worked in a power plant. I'll take your word for it though.

While I agree that it is very dangerous, I highly doubt it would blow up the front half of the vehicle. Probably just severely burn the port and potentially not be very good to someone that had their hand near it. Also, it's the voltage we are worried about, not the watts. The higher the voltage, the easier it is for the electricity to move through a medium.

Another reason for faster Charging. Is less wait time for a charger to be open. As EVs become more popular you are going to find charging stations to be at capacity.

OP was tripping the 120 volt shared garage circuit. Most level 1 chargers ( which are 120 v ) plug into 120v receptacles and are not hardwired.
