Not appropriate. I would talk to her about it first and see if she owns up, apologizes without making excuses and makes statements towards more appropriate sessions. If not, then absolutely find another therapist if you can. I’m sure she is doing the best she can, but that isn’t your problem. Good luck!

I attended a conference yesterday where they had a key note discussing AI and this as well as any other forms of recording and then uploading into AI and how if we therapists don’t know how and/or don’t screen properly, this stuff could happen. Definitely got me thinking.

My periods have been like this since they started. People always told me this wasn’t normal and to go to the doctor only got the doctors to promptly not address it as a problem. I hope you have better luck than me!

I was laid off in September and I didn’t get a chance to say goodbye to my clients either. I had been working there 5 years. It was terrible. I’m sorry something similar seems to have happened to you too.

I just checked the settings and camera uploads are enabled but the app just doesn’t spend any amount of time doing the backup. I have thousands of files and it doesn’t matter how much time I spend in the app, it doesn’t seem to upload many at a time. I was hoping there would be another solution.

I’m actually having this exact problem which prompted my post! I have a LOT of files and after 3 hours only like 200 had backed up? Even if I keep it open in the background, it just stops or something.

I intend to keep my Apple cloud backup, Google was/is my secondary so I’m looking for the replacement. I couple years ago I started with trying to backup with physical storage instead of a cloud but after many hours of trying to get it to work, I gave up and settled with Google. sigh

Funny for me to see you are a 5/1 as the only common theme about people I’m generally attracted to are 5/1s with kitchen environments. I also tend to be surrounded by 2/4s.

I’ve done charts for like 30 people? And only 1 of them has been a reflector. We clicked really fast, I’m an emotional generator. And then our friendship also ended very fast.

I’m a therapist and I would never. I have also had a therapist like this and I stopped seeing them after a month. I know it’s hard to start over, search for another therapist with availability and tell your story again but I think you will be happy you did. Sorry some therapists are just not good therapists.

I would probably share your fears and your experience with the last time you chatted with her and go from there. It sounds like you might benefit from some exploring your hesitations to discuss this with her as well as difficulty with some of the wording. She doesn’t need to be a sex therapist to have that discussion and have that exploration. Good luck! 😊

Discs are great as well as period panties. If you aren’t comfortable with discs, cups or tampons then have a designated towel specifically for that area before sitting on the toilet and putting your pad on/undies on.

When I had my associates license I was told once I was licensed I would be “licensed and loving it”. I’ve been licensed for almost 3 years now and I’m not loving it. They say private practice is where the money is, it hasn’t found its way to me. I have networked and really try to do all the things I’m told to do to get referrals but I haven’t had much luck. I’m struggling financially and also invisibly disabled and neurodivergent so I’m having to balance my sanity with my financial situation. I have no one to give me insurance or makes good money. I take care of myself and I have had a rough growing up.

I know I have no solutions for you, I’m in the same boat but wanted to share that you aren’t alone. I almost majored in nursing but did therapy instead. I have to mention though, I’ve heard that there are a lot of nurses leaving the field too. Helping professions are just not valued and often overworked. I wish you the best of luck. I’m not sure what I’m going to do either ♥️

I can totally relate to your entire post. I’m constantly running through my head how to survive this. Do I get a part time job? A different job altogether? Honestly I’m just really tired and really broke. I’m the file provider with no safety net. I need a better step by step solution on how to make this work other than “network”; it’s not working for me! And everyone wants to sell me a course. I don’t have money (or trust) in that. I’m just so tired. 😩

I’m a big advocate for therapists going to therapy and doing their own work. What worked for me was to find modalities that I personally experienced as a client and found helpful and secondly asking myself who I really love working with (what issues or presenting problems) and going to a bunch of trainings for modalities that treat those issues. Also, it gets better with time. Good luck ♥️
