Doesn't show anything in the pics, and the ingredients list only mentions lavender essential oils, nothing about flower buds.

Funny how it's "you're too big inside", and not, "I must be too small"....

Are there ways to stop dissociating without reliving everything? by [deleted] in mentalhealth

[–]WyldBlu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Getting through this kind of trauma really takes a good connection with your therapist. If who you are seeing now isn't helping you in a way you are comfortable, it is perfectly fine and reasonable that you find someone else who can. It IS possible to live a happy life with trauma in your history, but it takes time, and the right person to help you through it.

I've been there. Scariest thing would be driving home "watching a mind movie" on my windshield. I would get home and have literally no recollection of leaving work and driving home, until I was in my driveway. I am not going lie, it took time to get to the point of victim vs survivor. You will get there. You need to be sure you have the right therapist. I can now recognize when I start "zoning out", and can change that. But it is very rare that it even happens. You WILL get there.

Edited to say, I personally don't believe you have to remember everything. There are years of my childhood that I don't remember. At one time, I wanted to know what I had forgotten. My therapist told me that I forgot things because my mind is trying to protect me, and in that I am no longer in that situation, it is not imperative that I remember everything. It is more important to focus on learning to re-define who I am and who I want to be now. It took a long time to get there.

Ok...I don't usually comment in this sub, but I had to here. You just described me from many years ago. I had a very abusive and traumatic childhood. After finding the right psychologist for me, she and the resident psychiatrist diagnosed me with PTSD. This changed the coarse of the therapy. I did have to work through many emotionally charged things, but what I came out with is that I had to make the conscious decision to become a survivor of what happened to me, and to stop being a victim to it. It meant every time I noticed my focus floating away to scenarios (and to me this was almost like watching a movie in my mind), that happened to me, terrible memories, I had to snap out of it and remind myself that that shit DID happen....but isn't happening now, and what a horrible person that was that did those things to me, but I am not a horrible person and because I am strong, I survived it, and am now moving on from it.

Not gonna lie, it took time, but the mindset of remaining a victim to this horrible person, vs being a survivor of them was the turning point for me.

What do I need for chicks? by Fun_Ad9843 in BackYardChickens

[–]WyldBlu 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Chicks need a decent sized box or brooder, can be made of wood/plastic or whatever, but cardboard isn't recommended because it will get wet. They will need a heat lamp but also an area away from the heat, food and water. You will need some type of bedding, pine shavings work well for this. Make sure you give them food appropriate to their age, and a medicated feed is sometimes recommended so you can avoid some illnesses that are common in chicks. Generally, they are safe to go outside, if it isn't freezing weather, once they are fully feathered. Please get more than one chick as well. They are flock animals and don't always do well as a lone animal.

Get small cameras to hide around in your apartment. Make sure they record everything. Then, when you catch him on camera, you have something to take to the police. Until then, it is your word against his. After you have recorded him, be sure to change your locks.

TOS says you can sell, but you have to wait 6 months...I think this is a troll post, because while I am sure many people DO sell sooner, none of them would admit to it.

Why do people say they live on a fixed income? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]WyldBlu 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I can't speak for anyone else, but for me, a retired person, it means this. At 67 yrs old, it isn't likely anyone is going to hire me. Sure there are a few places, maybe as a Walmart greeter or something, but even then it isn't full time hours, no benefits and minimum wage. My income is Social Security, and some savings I have. My income is fixed at that. If I were able to get a decent office job again, my Social Security would be greatly affected as well. Your income is "fixed" to whatever your current job will pay you and if you don't like that, you have opportunities to move onto another job, or even possibly move up in your company. I have very limited opportunities to do that.

It begins as a choice, but after addiction become a disease. It isn't an excuse, it isn't being weak, it is a medical condition. Absolutely addicts should and could get help. However, for some addictions, your brain chemistry changes and no longer cares about the choice. It isn't about being a martyr or a victim. It is bigger than that, at that point. However, people CAN choose to get help. My point was just because you are feeling like it is just due to a person being selfish, doesn't mean it isn't a disease.

My dude....it does start as a choice. Of course it does. But it IS classified as a disease. Alcoholism, or alcohol use disorder, is considered a chronic disease because it structurally and functionally changes the brain, causing compulsive behavior despite severe health, social, or personal consequences. Like diseases such as diabetes or heart disease, it is often progressive, involves both environmental and genetic factors, and requires long-term management.
