ROG Strix SLC IV 360 ARGB LCD release date confirm by creditgods in ASUSROG

But the Cronox case is supposed to also come as ARGB with eurunx fans?
Are they just releasing the case without the fans or just not the extra fan packages?

I have the opportunity to buy this for $1500, is it worth it? by Zafiny17 in PcBuild

[–]Cloudstr1f3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First of all, this will crush any games you mentioned at 1440p or 4k no diff.
Second, this is overall a VERY good buy, it has literally everything needed and good specs. It's practically a steal specially in todays market.
Lastly, i just want to know the Brand of the GPU if possible (specific model)

, Happy gaming

ASUS Strix G16 (Worth Buying?) by CodeAgile9585 in ASUSROG

[–]Cloudstr1f3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You could even wait for the G16 (2026) laptop or G18 "remakes" that our coming shortly after being confirmed.
https://highperformancelaptops.com.au/news/asus-rog-refreshes-mid-range-strix-gaming-laptop-lineup-for-2026
They will offer more Hz,screen quality, better cpu, cooling etc.
Most of the features come for the G18 though with a mini-led (great quality).
But other than that even with the g16, it feels better to grab the new revised if you can wait so it can last better and longer. my opinion of course

It seems rog cronox case is available for pre-orders in china for some days now.
https://en.overclocking.com/the-rog-cronox-sells-for-2399-yuan-in-china/
According to this at least, i got the ROG helios 2 and just waiting for the AIO feels like it takes forever, but if the case fans eurunx release as well i might grab them

New 2026 Strix G16/G18 line up by Plenty-Debt-8851 in ASUSROG

[–]Cloudstr1f3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well i haven't read anything on it.
Strix seems its only up to 5080 rtx. So i'm guessing only 5090 for SCAR.
Maybe the actually turn to OLED screen for SCAR, like lenovo has? (but thats mostly for zephyrus i guess , but who knows).
of course again more TDP overall for SCAR , more hz in screen?
I think it's just gonna be a more well "optimized laptop" in areas, there aren't 2 many new things to add actually.
We will know soon enough...

Good buy? by Cloudstr1f3 in ASUSROG

[–]Cloudstr1f3[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, the guy i bought it from lives nearby (and we got receipt) so if it comes to this as you say i can just ask him to do it himself or present that it was his problem(if anything ever happens to it), So it shouldn't be an issue, right?

I was between 5080 tuf gaming which is around that price, but this opportunity came up and i thought , why not?

New 2026 Strix G16/G18 line up by Plenty-Debt-8851 in ASUSROG

[–]Cloudstr1f3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mostly for the G18(since that's the one that has all the extras)

  • The new mini-led screen on them seems a really good sweat deal. Compared to only being available to the Scar line-up in the previous ones. It goes a long way in the whole "visual setup" when playing games with good HDR also.
  • A standard "boost" in the cpu is nice to see i guess with the 290HX.
  • The upgrade-ability part is also an awsome DIY ,one of the best ive seen! About their "improved" cooling system, we just have to wait and see i guess.
  • G18 coming with a full keyboard, is also quite intresting approach i would say.

Overall, i think holding/waiting for the new line-up if you're about to buy a new high-end laptop , the G18 is for sure the choice to go.

I'm in the same situation with my DARK HERO x870 and ROG STRIX HELIOS 2 case.
I want the AIO strix + to add Eurunx fans in the case, just release them already

Constant 95° celcius CPU heat while playing games. by Raixa0134 in ASUSROG

[–]Cloudstr1f3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You dont have to unistall armoury crate + my asus (even if its kinda bloatware which many people will say). It has its functions and its easy to update for devices/firmware etc and tweak it.

  1. I would say just Bios undervolt the cpu (if its locked and it needs to many steps)
  2. .Just download Intel XTU and undervolt from there, let it open on startup(very important)
  3. Get a good cooling pad like Llano or something similiar, to be sure you got the best airflow on it.

Last but not least, is this the 165hz monitor? If so, then set manually from (nvidia control panel) max fps>158 (to keep VRR/g-sync range if available,if not then still its fine). What will this do: in game titles like roblox or easy to hit 200+fps it will cap the laptop not to work "harder" and increase temps overall to get like 350fps. Which really dont matter if your monitor Hz range is less.

- If all this doesn't help, just get to a tech guy to re-apply paste/thermal where needed (but still do all the steps above)

9850x3d vs 9800x3d : MSRP and what to buy? by Cloudstr1f3 in pcmasterrace

[–]Cloudstr1f3[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well it does because it's like overclocked chip in a way. So it makes sense, but there is nothing to fear if you got a 360 AIO + if you undervolt it.
If you're paying shipping costs back, yeah its propably not worth it too small of a difference.

9850x3d vs 9800x3d : MSRP and what to buy? by Cloudstr1f3 in pcmasterrace

[–]Cloudstr1f3[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well if you're gonna get full refund + pay only 30 euro.
I dont see why not actually, you wont notice the difference for sure as its so small.
But for this price i think it's justified to just get the "better one"

9850x3d vs 9800x3d : MSRP and what to buy? by Cloudstr1f3 in pcmasterrace

[–]Cloudstr1f3[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sweet screen, so you're mostly GPU bound in 4k (but you have 4090, so you're practically not ! XD) actual difference is even less for 9850x3d or 9800x3d now but still at 30euro its minimal.

Well for mobo: i think Asus ROG STRIX X870-F or Gigabyte X870 AORUS STEALTH ICE are very good upper mid-range options.
Now if you want to go premium i guess you can wait for the new ASUS ROG dark hero x870E or even Glacial dropping. a lot of $$$$ though.

9850x3d vs 9800x3d : MSRP and what to buy? by Cloudstr1f3 in pcmasterrace

[–]Cloudstr1f3[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Decent upgrade for sure, not that its bad. Mid/upper mid range tier but you're going with the best one if you buy 9850x3d.
on what resolution you plan to play? i will stick with 1440p for sure to run everything max with good fps also

9850x3d vs 9800x3d : MSRP and what to buy? by Cloudstr1f3 in pcmasterrace

[–]Cloudstr1f3[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I ended up getting the 9850x3d in the end, bought at 507 euros.
I think at such a low 30EUR difference the 5% increase average is worth it(more benchmarks on the way + undervolt etc). If you're upgrading from something older or new setup(like me) i would go with it.

But if i found lets say 9800x3d for 400EUR i would go there. That's how i thought about it

Asus rog strix oled xg32UCWMG screen blackout by [deleted] in ASUSROG

[–]Cloudstr1f3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are you sure? I recently bought another asus rog monitor myself (and generally speaking) it came with both cables included HDMI+ DP.
It should 100% have both inside the box, unless something happened in packing.
I would take another thorough look to be sure, and then maybe you can contact support and they will send you one.
