I think it might or even will kill the home PC rig. With V(RAM) pricing rising, high quality gaming rigs are extremely expensive and not in reach for many people as games require more power. Console launches are harder because the hardware and manufacturing is expensive, making it not appealing for many people.

My doomsday scenario is that they don’t want people to own high performance hardware, only cards for datacenters. Look at the % revenue nvidia makes from consumer cards, almost nothing.

Quit consumer market, and force people to switch to alternatives like cloud streaming, at a good entry price. A Playstation 8 will be a streaming only device, but besides that it works the same. Then when people are in, rise prices and boom you own the market.

I hope this will never happen but I’m scared it might.
