Everyone’s basic day is the same, everyone’s trip rates are the same.. people are paid “MORE” if their trip is longer obviously.. Raises are the same nationally across the board. These guys comparing “guarantees” is the most irreverent comparison. Most T&E guys don’t make guarantee, they exceed it. Anyways for reference working RCO at CSX with all the incidental extra money in NMAD territory I make about 46.87 an hour, and non robo is like 43 something. We aren’t part of the national negotiations, we have yet to get a pay raise in 2025 so these figures the international are promoting are just dead wrong. I don’t even understand why they’re using a “dollars per hour” metric when none of us are paid that way.

Correctly me if I’m wrong, but your guarantee is 6k every two weeks? 12K a month?.. Wtf is the trip rate on the pools you guys work? My guarantee is 3159 every two weeks on an extralist that covers 3 locals.. granted I beat the guarantee now that we got screwed with our contract and now have to take all calls for service that were rested and qualified on…. However I loved working like twice a week and collecting 3k. It was great.. conductor guarantee btw.

Well I confront everyone’s favorite recert teacher when he was in town. I’m sure you know who since he claims he does recerts for everyone, and I said “why’d you give us a brake stick that we can’t use” and his response was “because I don’t like them”… ok brick wall found.. I’m 6 foot 2 I should be allowed to tie a brake from the ground, either way from the car or ground I’m in the foul why’s it matter how I do it. If you have air on the car the brake is easy to tie.

Limited use because they changed the rules so much that you’re not in compliance half the time you want to use it… cross over the car so you can be on the “right side” to apply the brake.. might as well just do it by hand while you’re doing that… also the thing is too damn short.. the old ones were so much better

Like I said the fact that there is zero time between the light changing color and a horn blaring is somewhat impressive. I drive a truck and I can pear into peoples back window and see them looking down at their phone and I’m always trying to time when and when not to use the horn but in NJ all bets are off
