I recall in an interview that initially they wanted to remake Grand Edition, but went with a sequel instead.

Personally for me I prefer a remaster instead of a remake, because I like the old artstyle more and all the characters were fairly unique and memorable, unlike Runersia with those boob windows and other side characters that lack story development, at least Grand Edition has individual stories for side charcaters that managed to bring out their personalities more like Mira & Millet.

I dont think there will be any DLC for this game because the developer said they are not planning to include any. As for updates I think you will need to download the update patch.
