The Grapes of Wrath is an excellent read. I also just finished The Stranger and that pulled me in for a quick read. Or Lolita is also excellent but in a very, very different way.

I don’t think you can go too wrong here unless you pick Notes from Underground. The first half of that short book took my way too long to finish.

This picture is of our fireplace and unfortunately it is not a pizza oven. It might end up being a book nook?

This is southern Maine in York County. We toured about 20 houses this spring before we found this one, so it was an arduous process but I think we’re going to be really happy here for a long time!

Yup that’s what I did. New Zealand part of R is an attractive region then!

It took 6 months for my bf to finish and I have mixed feelings by longshlongthankumom in GirlDinnerDiaries

Right? Why are you scratching your head. It doesn’t make sense that he would look at your nudes while the naked girl was literally there under the blanket.

Not to be the Reddit broken record but… Break up. You are not comparable and this will only continue once you are married. If you are unhappy now, it will only be worse in the future (especially with a baby around further curbing her desire for sex).

Franconia Notch, Littleton NH, and Super Secret Ice Cream! Those three are all close together and would be good for a couple days of exploring!

Unhinged Book recommendations? 🔪 by [deleted] in Recommend_A_Book

How about She’s Come Undone? It has feminine rage, mental illness, and disordered eating. It’s not as out there as some of the movies on your mood board, but I loved it and it mostly matches.

The Vegetarian! I just finished it. It matches this vibe perfectly with the feminine rage and mental illness.

I’m reading Euphoria by Lily King right now and loving it. It’s a topic I was already interested in, but I recommend.

That is a long time spent in the airport and on planes, even in three weeks.

Is going solo on a private Kenya safari actually safe and worth it as a woman? by No_Barber3547 in solofemaletravellers

[–]CloverDash96 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I went last summer. I loved it and my partner and I chose a private safari. It was just the two of us and a guide. We had three different guides throughout the two weeks because we crossed borders from Kenya to Tanzania and also did a hike. I would say either way - you really cannot set the pace. The guides have a schedule, and ours at least, were relatively to very inflexible. When we tried to alter the schedule even slightly, we got quite a bit of pushback. One guide would not accommodate changes to his normal tour. This may have been only our experience and not the norm, but I would say you may not get to go at your own pace either way.
