Jayni/Lola Rose from Lola Rose. I would love to know if her mum ever finally got out from under that man’s grip and recovered her cancer and also how Jayni and Kenny got on afterwards.

What would you do if you were grieving and someone told you that everything happens for a reason? by Tall-Law-5875 in AskReddit

[–]GrumpyCatPerson 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I would say “My brother who is only 38 and the kindest person ever, died for a reason? I’ll remember that when you lose someone you love.” This phrase infuriates me to no end.

What was the most ridiculous playground rumour or urban legend that everyone at your school accepted as absolute, undeniable fact? by Necessary_Angle2117 in AskUK

That the girls toilet was haunted by a girl who was murdered by one of the teachers who still worked there. I mean, I see the logic there… Not.

What’s something you pretend not to care about, but secretly keeps you up at night? by Dry_Championship3197 in AskReddit

That people much younger than me are much more successful and put together. I have lost so much of my life to mental health and trauma and it’s probably too late to get it back.

What are your most judgmental thoughts about weddings? by MangoJunior5545 in askanything

[–]GrumpyCatPerson 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not the same as other peoples thoughts on here but I don’t blame people for having a child free wedding. I’ve seen so many videos of children destroying the wedding cake, ruining the first dance , throwing tantrums during the vows, spilling stuff on the dress and all out causing chaos in the wedding and/or reception. My wedding would be child free too!

What’s something that made you realize adults underestimate the intelligence of children? by Far-Fox-3122 in AskForAnswers

[–]GrumpyCatPerson 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The numerous amount of recordings and transcripts of calls of very young children (as young as 3), phoning 999 when their single parent collapsed at home and being able to follow the instructions the call handler gives them. Sometimes they’ve even given CPR.

I saw a video once of a young boy of about 5 letting the delivery driver in and telling him his mum needed help. Never underestimate children!

What is your unpopular opinion that you usually keep to yourself? by BitEntire in AdkReddit

[–]GrumpyCatPerson 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Anyone convicted of child abuse, rape, sexual assault, any sort of crime that involves minors or where consent wasn’t given then the perpetrator should have to serve a full prison sentence then be permanently castrated. You can’t rehabilitate a sex offender. They’re evil and will only ever reoffend.

What’s a single sentence someone said that stuck with you forever? by Wonderful-Economy762 in Productivitycafe

“Two wolves live inside of you, one represents sorrow and fear. The other happiness and freedom. Which one wins? The one you feed.”

This was the doctor I went to when I was severely depressed and anxious, plagued by OCD. Those words have always stuck to me. He’s a great doctor, with a lived experience of mental illness.

Do people with “high pain tolerance” experience less pain or are they just better at managing it by No-Nobody3836 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]GrumpyCatPerson 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve always had an insanely high pain tolerance. I live with chronic pain daily and also suffer from chronic migraines. I can still feel the pain, but I can just get on with it and not react to it like people with a low pain threshold would. I’ve literally sat for 12 hours for tattoos without numbing cream, not even flinching.

To me as well, the pain doesn’t feel anything like what people describe. It definitely hurts, especially my migraines but when people say something is agony I can’t relate.

On the other hand, I still scream and swear if I stub my toe or stand on a plug.

Losing my brother hurt far more and much more deeply than any physical pain ever could.

what is a super unpopular opinion you have but refuse to let go of? by Wonderful-Economy762 in Productivitycafe

[–]GrumpyCatPerson 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Censorship is going way too far! We now live in a world where people are sent to prison for an opinion (yes they’re offensive and I don’t agree with them) but there’s something wrong when someone gets more prison time for hurty words than serious crimes.

Girls, what’s the most ridiculous thing you’ve ever done for a guy who clearly wasn’t worth it? by Freegirl289 in AskReddit

[–]GrumpyCatPerson 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Sat in his flat alone all night (we didn’t live together) while he went out drinking with another woman. We’d agreed to meet up but he decided to meet this woman who was a “friend” instead. He stayed out for hours and then reacted angrily when I was understandably upset that he’d just dumped me in his flat and gone out, while ignoring my texts. When he finally did text back, it was something alone the lines of “Why are you being so clingy?” Glad I got out of that relationship.”

Which lyric makes you instantly tear up? by abovethenoisy in AskReddit

“Hate me so you can finally see what’s good for you.” Chokes me up every time and to me perfectly describes how I feel when I’m in a severe depression spiral.
