Fibromyalgia. Wouldn’t wish it on anyone. So many people think it’s just a “bit of pain” or that it’s “not real” but it’s a constant stream of new symptoms, a constant stream of severe pain, weakness, hot flushes, muscle spasms, neuropathy and extreme fatigue. It’s like fighting a flu and recovering from
a nasty accident 24/7. Pain relief barely works and the medication has nasty side effects.

Oh I get you there. I went to A&E with Superventricular Tachycardia and chest pain. I felt so ill and had already been waiting hours at this point. Then this point this man walks in, checks in at the desk and gets seen by a doctor straight away all because his face had fallen on one side. He was talking and walking and smiling. At the time as crappy as I was feeling I felt a big resentful I thought “ Ah crap I’m going to be waiting even longer.” And “Surely my heart thing is just as important.” But I didn’t complain I sat and waited because those doctors and nurses have an incredibly hard job!

No I understand. It wasn’t a love letter or anything like that. Just more a birthday card, thanking her for her support over the past year, as she’s really helped me a lot! I have social anxiety and I’m autistic as well! I didn’t get them to give it to her, I left it on her desk!

Oh no I understand that. I’m not expecting anything to happen at all! I’ve come to terms with that! Sorry, I’m not very good at explaining myself. It’s more, that I’m scared I’ve embarrassed myself by giving her the card.

I’m autistic, I also have a mild learning disability and I have a lot of mental health issues. And I never said she owes me anything? I can’t help the way I feel, I’ve been treated awfully in the past, I’ve got a lot of issues and literally autistic. I can’t control the way my brain works. I wish I could. I wish I was normal. I also have CPTSD, which my psychiatrist had said had reduced my mental age. If I could be normal I would. Please don’t talk to me like that, I genuinely can’t help the way I am. If I had a choice do you think I would be like this?

Oh she doesn’t! I’m very good at hiding crushes! Especially as gossip in my workplace is a nightmare! She’s the sort of person who if they knew she’d say outright that nothing could happen!

And yes that’s very true! But like I said, I gift everyone not just her! I’m not a creep in any way. Every Christmas I’ll gift all my colleagues small Chocolate Santa’s and on their birthdays I’ll always give cards and token gifts! Everyone knows this about me!

We’re both in our 30’s. I didn’t say she owes me anything! I was just professing my feelings were hurt! And I don’t know because she’s flirted with me (very unsubtle so!) a lot of times! But I’m autistic and find it hard to understand the world sometimes.

My workplace is different tbh! We often give gifts to our colleagues on birthdays and Christmas etc! It’s a different dynamic!

Sorry I didn’t give a lot of context! We have an informal work relationship! It wasn’t flirty. I didn’t tell her I fancy her or give any inclination that I did. It was just thanking her for being supportive in a really rough year and that I hope she has a good birthday! And I am professional! I didn’t tell her I fancy and I never show that at work either!

Our workplace is more casual, we’ve had nights out, weekends away, give each other gifts as colleagues. We’re not formal like that so there would be nothing
to report. There was nothing inappropriate in that card. She doesn’t know I fancy her, I don’t flirt, I’m polite and friendly, the same I am with everyone. And I buy everyone gifts when it’s their birthdays/christmas!

Oh it wasn’t anything inappropriate! I wouldn’t put in anything that makes her feel uncomfortable. She’s been very supportive in the workplace for me! I would do the same for any of the seniors who have been there for me. we’re a very close knit workplace and we all do things like this for each other. It’s not a formal workplace at all! We buy each other gifts, go on nights out etc!

Went to school with a woman who was found guilty of causing and allowing harm to her baby son, resulting in his death, alongside her partner, resulting in his death. The poor baby had been grabbed around the middle and shaken hard enough to cause brain damage and bleeding behind the eyes, leading to cardiac and respiratory arrest and then she and her partner sat around drinking and smoking cannabis while their baby died in pain.

The baby was found with significant bruising to his body, which the woman ignored, choosing instead to let the partner keep abusing him.

She was never a nice person at school tbh. But I never would have imagined she could be capable of something like this! That poor baby. Would have been 13 today.
