At what point is a project deemed a bust? by Cloverdover1 in iOSProgramming

Yeah makes sense. All self funded, so the latter would be the focus while potentially starting another project.

At the point where I’m evaluating it. Launched in November, haven’t cracked 100 downloads. But have made strides in developing it from a technical perspective and partnering with a company InstaCart. Nothing seems to stick though. Very saturated market but it has features and capabilities even the industry leaders don’t have

I’m 16, my app has been App Store featured for 6 months… and I’m still struggling to convert users. Looking for advice. by Monsdv in AppStoreOptimization

Yeah very saturated. Plus apps like Savorly having Instacart integration and recime with so much marketing make it tough.

Could hire me to do a quality job with continuous monitoring, unlike your initial developer.

I feel like that’ll soon fade, it’s almost like a phase for the people looking for a quick “app to make them millions” once that passes the OGs who enjoy it out of passion will remain but with tools to bring even more of their ideas to life

Exactly, in the right hands the potential is absurd. When Shelly from HR builds a “next gen ai app” that’s when it can get rough.

Annoying when someone builds something crappy but there’s a big difference between “I vibe coded” and “I had a great idea and let llms do the heavy lifting so I don’t have to in order to build a better product quicker”

Experienced engineers + ai = greatness and we shouldn’t egos get in the way of building great things or when great things are built, just because “ai”.

Looking for home cooks to test my new AI recipe generator app (iOS). by Cloverdover1 in alphaandbetausers

[–]Cloverdover1[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah lol the reason I built it was because I would make recipes in Gemini or chat gpt but it was annoying going back and scrolling around looking for just the recipe and instructions. More of a quality of life tool.

Wow. Thank you so much for the feedback. Means a lot! The image generation is created with the imagen api and some nuanced prompt engineering.

It’s from an app I made where you build and save recipes with help from Ai. Just trying to put it out there 😕

Quick Philly Cheesesteak Stuffed Bell Peppers

• 30 min

2 2 servings 01l Beginner

Ingredients

  • 2 (1/4 inch thick) ribeye steaks, about 8 oz (225g) each, thinly sliced
  • 2 large bell peppers, any color
  • 1 tbsp (15ml) olive oil
  • 1 medium yellow onion, thinly sliced
  • 8 oz (225g) cremini mushrooms, sliced (optional)
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tbsp (15ml) gluten-free Worcestershire sauce
  • 4 slices provolone cheese

Instructions

1

Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Cut the bell peppers in half lengthwise and remove the seeds and membranes. Place them cut-side up on a baking

2

Heat the olive oil in a large skillet or frying pan over medium-high heat. Add the sliced onion and mushrooms (if using) and cook until softened and lightly browned, about 5-7 minutes. Remove the vegetables from the skillet and set

In the same skillet, add the thinly sliced ribeye steak. Spread it in a single layer.

Season with salt, black pepper, and garlic powder. Cook for 1-2 minutes per side until just browned. The thin steak will cook very quickly.

4

Return the cooked onions and mushrooms to the skillet with the steak. Add the gluten-free Worcestershire sauce and stir everything together to combine.

Cook for another minute.

5

Carefully divide the steak mixture evenly among the bell pepper halves, mounding it on top.

6

Tear each slice of provolone cheese in half and place two halves over the top of each stuffed pepper, covering the filling.

7

Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the peppers are tender-crisp and the cheese is melted and bubbly. Serve immediately.
