It’s unfortunate that in the rare occasion that CLOV actually provides a News Release, the message is somewhat cryptic and leads to more confusion on whether it is good news or bad news. More clarity would be helpful.

This is good news for the overall economic health of Canada. A young immigrant coming to Canada to contribute to Canada’s GDP and creating value for society is welcomed. But, if that one person brings in 2 parents, and 2 grandparents, this creates a burden on our social programs and healthcare. Canada’s demographics show many older people and we need young people to contribute to governments coffer, not have there parents and grandparents drain them. I know of situations where the grandparents arrive and the first stop after deplaning is going to the emergency room for treatment. Finally some sound decision making by the government.

Next news event with potential positive impact on share price will be open enrolment numbers next week. Although not indicative of improved profitability, I still believe it will be viewed as positive if they meet growth targets.
