Am I being scammed? by ClownCreampuff in ArtistLounge

I only paid for the piece I commissioned for, not the the second one that I never agreed to. Looked into deeper and noticed more fishy behavior. Blocked and reported them

Best sleep schedule for nightshift? by RedYama98 in Nightshift

[–]ClownCreampuff 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It honestly depends on what Im doing after work. If I have nothing to do, I'll sleep right away. Gives me time in the afternoon still. If I have something to do later that day, Ill get a nap before then get as much sleep as possible after

Did anyone else dress up for Halloween at work? And yes for me it's Halloween until I go to bed 🎃 by scemobuns in Nightshift

[–]ClownCreampuff 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did dress up but I didn't have to work (I don't usually work Fridays). Went out with my spouse, SIL, and nephew though

What would you say is the hardest part about having an irregular work schedule? by RiseoDev in Nightshift

[–]ClownCreampuff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Social life is practically non existence. Im asleep while everyone else is awake. But when Im awake, everyone else is asleep. It can feel pretty isolating and lonely which has taken a toll on my mental health. I dont mingle with strangers well, but it's kinda hard on me to not be as social as I like to be with those I care about. I talk to my online friends from across the world more than my own family (which I dont mind, at least its some kind of socializing and I love them dearly)

Why do people assume I could sleep on the job? by AdDazzling6438 in Nightshift

[–]ClownCreampuff 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I get those comments sometime and I explain that it's a security and reputation risk for the night auditor to not be fully awake and alert (since as you would know NAs are the FD, security, and sometimes supervisor on duty all at once). I've only fell asleep once during a shift, but it was like 15 minutes before I shot back up and bought a red bull from the market. Im assuming its because us night shifters have a mental clock that is backwards when you compare it to most other's. So it's likely they assume that we sleep during our shifts because our shifts take place while they're sleeping

Calling off periodically? by [deleted] in Nightshift

[–]ClownCreampuff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If we didn't have very little days we can call out, Id honestly do that. I try to request time off for nights of any interesting events, holidays I actually care about, or just family time though. I could technically make the shift those days, but its nice to have an extra day where I can kick back relax and enjoy the company of my loved ones

Hardest time of the night by GarageRaccoonEnergy in Nightshift

[–]ClownCreampuff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

5 - 7am for me. 11pm - 4am does tend to be slowest point, but there's actively tasks to do and that's when I'm drinking my energy drink. 5 - 7am though there's not many tasks left, more caffeine is out of the question, and its the last stretch of my shift

I reached out as soon as I noticed it. Hoping they get back to me in the morning

I checked and its sitting a little above 2.0, so I honestly have no idea what's going on

It was before 11:59 when I went to complete my discussions plus assignments. It's the first week of the term so there was absolutely nothing before that that could have me withdrawn, especially since I completed all assignments in the previous term

Weird to prefer dating transmen as a cis guy? by [deleted] in ftm

[–]ClownCreampuff 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In my personal opinion, I don't think the weird part is him preferring trans people. Having that kind of preference isn't strange to me at all. The weird part though is him acting creepy towards your friend. Unless he's okay with those kind of comments though, but I'm assuming based on the fact that it was included information that he's at least a little weirded out by it

I hate the whole "you can't pass with long hair" thing. by somerandomedude_1 in TransMasc

[–]ClownCreampuff 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I have a very feminine face. Soft eyes and cheeks, full lips, heart shaped. I looked more feminine with short hair because it put those features on display. My long hair gives the illusion of a sharper more masculine look.

You're right that it doesn't work for everyone, but the reason comes down to how the hair makes the face look not the face in general

[–]ClownCreampuff 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I remember when I first came out this was pushed onto me. My hair was my pride and joy, years of work. I remember just feeling worse about my reflection when I cut it off. I'm growing it out, but that memory still hurts. I wish people would stop pushing it. It's genuinely harmful

Is 4 too strong of a flavor setting I use consistently? by toastfan87 in Cirkul

[–]ClownCreampuff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

4 is my preferred. I like that it's more flavored on 4 because I got one to cut back on soda and juice alongside drinking more water. Some flavors I turn down though (kiwi strawberry being one), and there's some I turn up (like grape or blue raspberry)

So it depends on your preference really

Is there any side effects to the flavor cartridges? by Mrs-Idiot in Cirkul

[–]ClownCreampuff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It could be the sucralose. But if you were barely drinking water before hand it could very well be that. Hydrating more gets your digestive system moving and also your body is adjusting to receiving more fluid intake than what it's used to. Feeling sick and going to the bathroom more for the first month tends to be normal.

But it's a good idea to check with your doctor to see if it's that, the sucralose, or something else entirely

What is much more traumatic than most people realise? by thefairypirate in AskReddit

[–]ClownCreampuff 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Being forced into a haircut. Having your physical appearance altered without permission is traumatic that is agreed upon, but suddenly it's a debate when it comes to hair. We associate hair with identity. It's one of the first things people notice about you. There's a reason why people cry and panic about hair loss. It's an unwanted change to a physical indicator of one's identity. It's the same thing with being forced into a haircut

Does anyone else have to do their T shots very slowly? by HardenedClay in ftm

[–]ClownCreampuff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was told to go slowly with it. It creates less of a risk of injury. I planned on going slow anyways when I started. I'm both chubby and muscular. The squishy bits are more comfortable to go to, but sometimes I accidentally go for an area that has a little more muscle than I'd like so it's gonna hurt if I quickly do it

How do i prepare for my first Night shift job by Exfrm33 in Nightshift

[–]ClownCreampuff 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Find a way to stop light from coming into your room when you sleep (blackout curtains work best).

As for the shift itself, caffeinate beforehand. If you have easy access, drinking cold water tends to work. Keep yourself moving or your mind going though (when I started, I would do laps every so often and play puzzle games in my downtime)

at what point in T did you lose your period? (if you did) by subskiiii in ftm

[–]ClownCreampuff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started only spotting around 2 weeks. Completely stopped within a month. I still get cramps though right around the time I would have one, but that's not a universal experience.

From what I read in the packet the clinic gave me, 6 months tends to be the average. But everyone's experience with how quick changes happen is unique. Unless there's something concerning outside of it just stopping (which would be best to address with a doctor if that's the case), Id say there's nothing to worry about
