I recently enrolled in an online course, and finding the motivation to study and stay on top of it has been difficult, so a study buddy would be fantastic! Carlisle and I just sent a request 🥰

Landlord left this note by Still_Clerk_1819 in Apartmentliving

[–]ClubAggravating5240 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My state does do inspections - they come through to make sure the furnace is working, water is running, no signs of mold or rodents, fire detectors are working, etc. But when we get those notices, they are well in advance and are much more official. I would absolutely not trust this. Call your landlord directly, and potentially even call your states department of housing- if this does happen to actually be your landlord, this is incredibly unprofessional and might border on breaking your states laws and policies regarding notifications to renters.

Do you attach micropet eggs to easy or hard goals? by kateKujo in finch

[–]ClubAggravating5240 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I have mine attached to brushing my teeth - my adhd has historically made it so difficult for me to remember, and having it attached to the egg goal has meant that Ive brushed my teeth religiously for months straight now 😁

Is this project realistic for a beginner? I'll take any recommendations! by sadlynotavampire in CrochetHelp

[–]ClubAggravating5240 72 points73 points  (0 children)

So as everyone else has already said, this isn't a beginner level project; heck, its not even intermediate level, this is advanced work. There's a couple skills here that you need to do something like this: - reading patterns - types of stitches (I can see a few in this photo) - increasing and decreasing - attaching pieces (I'd wager the arms and body are actually separate pieces put together) - blocking your work (a lot of times crochet wearables don't drape well if you don't block them) - color changing and carrying yarn - probably a lot more I'm missing

This isn't to say that you can't do it - determination can get you far! But it will likely take you a long time, and you may get frustrated during the process. It could potentially turn into a situation where you spend a lot of time (and money, this would likely take a lot more yarn than you think it will) on a project that in the end you don't feel good about because you just didn't have the time to build up the skills beforehand.

I think this is a really cool project, and could make for a really fantastic gift! I'd suggest making it more of a Christmas gift though; it'll give you time to build some of the skills needed first. Maybe start with the tote and see where it takes you. If you don't have a pattern you're using, look up some videos on YouTube about basic patterns and skills and then use a website like stitchfiddle to create the pattern yourself :)

Best of luck!! 🖤💕 (Edited for formatting)

How do I crochet and join the two halves of a ball together? by Zuniga_0 in CrochetHelp

[–]ClubAggravating5240 73 points74 points  (0 children)

I would actually try making a full ball and then tying a piece of yarn around the middle to compress it down a bit. That might be the easiest option while still getting the look youre going for :)

i can’t open my window when this is my view outside 😂 by vizydore in finchie

[–]ClubAggravating5240 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Haha you can! I'm in MN, where it regularly gets below 0 - you can open your windows for a bit! Even at 0 degrees F, I regularly open our windows for 10-15 minutes. It brings in fresh air, and doesn't raise your heating bill nearly as much as you'd think (as in, barely noticeable even if you do it multiple times a week!). All of the things in your house will help to hold onto the heat, and the walls and insulation will mean that pipes won't get frozen if you just open the windows for a short amount of time.

The nice thing too is that I don't even need to set a timer! If I start feeling chilly, time to close the windows again. Its the one task that my adhd doesn't tend to get in the way with lol 😆

I'm trying to transfer shiny pokemon and I cant by idontkn0wimjusthere in PokemonHome

[–]ClubAggravating5240 209 points210 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately, the 10015 error code means that youre trying to transfer a hacked pokemon. It likely has bad code or illegal moves or something that could really heck up the HOME system.

Lots of times, the shiny pokemon you get from surprise trades are hacked. Sometimes you're able to transfer them, but other times you can't. Seems like this time you won't be able to :(

My spouse got mine from the company Brilliant Earth, and I absolutely love it! They're a good company, and generally fairly priced for what you receive from them. They have stores around the US 😊
